This is the second year in a row I haven't found the new minion despite having the Minion Nip on my HA (it's behind the base and all that so you can't see it) and I've literally gotten Snowflaik either four or five times now and all the other minions except the newest.

I'm sorry you're having that experience. :c I feel similar, but with the Zapper - trying to get the deer skin since the Zapper was opened for this Morostide, haven't yet and know I'm not going to get it in the two remaining zaps I have left before the holiday ends. I imagine the Minion thing is worse, though, since it carries an achievement that's going to retire... Still, good luck!! I hope you do actually get it in the next six hours.

Stupid question but.. have you always visited the zone the new minion is in? And is it about the minion or the achievement?

I have literally checked every corner of the map, dude. It was not my Morostide.

It was only found in one section, thus searching all other sections won't get you the minion. I had no luck either before I focused on the one section where it was found. There is always a guide topic as to where each minion can be found (which I totally forgot this year and needed the help of a friend, too, that pointed me that way :P). Just saying so your next morostide will be yours. ;)

Take a look at the guide. Snowflaik was sadly not in the same section as Mott as been. The sections are not really that tiny but if next morostide you know which section the new minion is located at and don't know which section you've hit you can always look at the url (like http://subeta.net/explore/pumpkins.php?act=pick&pick=3). :)

Aw. I was lucky enough to get Mott, but pretty much any of his other minions thought I had cooties this year. However, I know some people have had more success (weirdly) when removing the nip. XD You may want to try both in the section next year. I'll wish you lots of luck!

Yeah I think it was because you weren't exclusively clicking 3. It doesn't matter where in the section you click, just that you pick section three. I got my Mott on the 28th/29th I think? I was relieved though, what a bugger (pun intended)
