Okay so. I've gotten more and more interested in battling lately, but at this current point I feel like I'm floundering? I finally got the tier things down. I'm training Peccant very regularly. And I'm... kind of... understanding battle items? (Ironically, I have the mods down pat and love them.) So, I have a few questions. Additionally I'd like some set advice -- which is why I put it in the sub forum despite having additional questions. P= I was so torn!!

Question One: AP Points; I have like 43. And then I have a couple scrolls that equal up to about 14 AP. I don't think that 14 subtracts whenever I use them? But them I don't know why it says I'm using 0 AP of 43... I'm not sure how it calculates. At all.

Question Two: EXP. I have... 41,203 EXP points. And it seems kind of pointless to use them if I can still train? What are these used for? Are they even important to me right meow?

Okay... so I guess I didn't have many other questions. Anyway. Set advice. I've been trying to read through good sets for T5, and I have some things WL'd and everything, but ultimately I know I'm putting pieces in and not actually building something. SO. ❤️

So... am I on the right track? Sort-of? Thank you so much for your help, or even the time to read this. I've tried just going through thread after thread, but there's only so much my tiny brain can piece together. xD

1. Your AP determines how many scrolls you can bring into battle. When you you equip them in your scroll library, it will tell you how many points you've used for that set so be careful as it is very easy to go over the AP your pet has and then not be able to equip that set for battle.

Some scrolls are also once per battle scrolls, meaning they will disappear from the battle once you use them, but they will still be in your scroll library. It does not subtract. Are you looking under your pet's page where it says teach spells? Scrolls are now added to the scroll library in the armory and no longer are attached to pets.

2. exp points come in handy when you need to boost fast for special even challengers or if there is a harder challenger that is just out of your reach where boosting can really help. I personally like to save them to see a boost in stat gain every now and then. Some people that have higher tier pets like to use exp right away because the higher your pet's stats, the longer you have to wait to train them in the training center. I believer you are at tier 5 yes? Training time is still very short for you so I would hold off on using exp until you're at a higher tier like 8 or 9 before you even consider to use them.

3. The scrolls you have now are good. I would definitely read more books and get your intel up so you can equip more scrolls into battle. Some other good scrolls to pick up would be cobalt eternal and sancturia exodin. Both of these two are OPB (once per battle) so if you have the funds and AP you will want to pick up a few of each. The forj tempered shield is a good defense weapons for low tier pets.

Other than that you look like you are on the right track. I would consider investing in some full blockers like the rainbow vortex or shinwas temple shard. I don't think you will really need those now unless you're going after some opponents that are a little out of your pet's league and need that defense for one turn. They are really useful though as you get into higher tiers. Replica minotaur knocker may also be another nice addition as earth is a commonly dealt icon. Picking up a reviver of the lion is another good weapon to pick up that becomes even more useful as your pet grows.

I'd actually suggest you use your exp now, the faster you gain stats, the more exp you can gain from battle quests (if you don't do those, you really should) exp costs of stats (here) goes up as your tier goes up, so you get more stats for your exp right now :)

more perilous whirlpools can't hurt, they're nice for extra freeze chances. if you are tier 5, your set looks good and from skimming what said, that advice is pretty sound.

1. Okay, so the set I have now is 17, which is fine. So 17/43 when it's used by Peccant as a default set. Now, let's say I created another set as the default and it was 45 points. So because it's 45/43 points it would merely be unusable in battle? But if I adjusted the set and removed a scroll (to drop the AP) it would be usable again, yes??

3. So even if something is OPB I can have more than one? I just immediately assumed you could only equip one of everything. I wishlisted those scrolls you suggested, as well as the items. I'll probably see what I could trade them out for and work towards them at a glacial pace. xD ❤️ Part two question to this one -- what in the world are pylonics? And are they equipped like normal items? They're only one use -- period --, yes?

I like the sound of more stats for my exp. :D I do battle quests periodically, but really should do them more often. The first time I did them was when Peccant had JUST reached T5 and I was so excited to see I could tackle a hard challenger or two. I've seen a few different suggestions on exp useage. The most common one is health despite it being the most expensive stat. Would you recommend that, or merely that I evenly distribute them?

Also, to be honest my set only looks decent (which thank you!!) because I went through every T5 board there was for a couple pages. You made most of the suggestions, I think, so theoretically you kind of helped me second-hand build it. SO UH, THANKS. ❤️

more health early on definitely helps you take on more bqs earlier, but I'd probably start going health higher than the other stats when you're at or higher than 1k all stats.

yeah I probably did make most of the more recent suggestions haha. :p t6 definitely gets a lot better with the reborn icewand of doom, so do your bqs more consistently and reach that as soon as you can!

to answer your questions above: 1: yeah, if you adjust the scroll set lower so it is equal to or lower than the amount of AP your pet has, it will work. 3: if that is about scrolls, yeah, there are no limits to how many of one of them you can equip. pylonics are one use items that go in the potions spot in battling. so you can use two weapons, a potion, and a scroll each turn. they are all one use, pylonics are only one equipped at a time of a certain kind, dark potions you can equip as many as you want but they're one use also. they break forever and you have to buy another to equip. potions and pylonics should really be used to get wins on something you're struggling with and want an early win against.

1. Yes. You can only use a set that has equal to or less than your pet's AP.

2. You can have as many scrolls are you have AP for. OPB scrolls are good to equip more than one because they are OPB. You will only want one copy of scrolls that are infinite use because they won't disappear.

3. Pylonics are held in a location (under your weapons but above your scrolls). In addition to scrolls, you can equip pylonics, shards you get from the mage and potions You are allowed to use 2 weapons, 1 special item (potion, pylonic, or shard) and 1 scroll during each turn. ">Here is a list of all the potions and other single use items. Potions can stack but everything else you can only equip one per battle.
