I used to be into battling, not so much anymore. However, I just got the challenge and I want to beat him. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I haven't really done tips for battling so much before but since the goblin is a bit straight forward, I'll give it a try!

I find that Pumpkin Patch Goblin is very similar to the other hard Morostide Wolve as they both seem to have high strength stat but very frail defence only that the Goblin is weaker. Because of his low defence and high attack, it's very useful to have freezing weapons against him so you can have the chance to use damaging weapons against him. I've noticed that all his weapons don't seem to have any defence icons so it's pretty good that you can use any attack icon to damage him. It's also a good chance to use bombs as well.

For his attacks he tends to favour physical (uses this a lot), fire and earth icons (occasionally magma and water) and most of his weapons seem to boost his strength too so you'd need some good defending weapons too. I find that Forj Tempered Shield is brilliant as it protects you from a lot of fire as well as other icons as well as its change to give you an anti-freezing blessing (and very cheap to craft too!) but does have a chance to break in the middle of battle. Could be worth getting Forj Tempered Hauberk as it heals as well as blocking fire and physical as well as heal although much more expensive. It might be good to use weapons that give blessings like Shrine of Apollonia as it lowers the chances of freezing and stealing as he is capable of doing them.

I'll give you a visual list of suggested items that will be useful for you: Freezing: (small chance to freeze but a good healer) (if you can't afford gorgun) I mainly use but it's pretty expensive and for tier 6 pets. Bombs/high damage weapons: you can find any weapon really but the grenade is very useful when the goblin's frozen.

Hope this is clear and useful! ^^

Hi would you mind giving me some advice on what weapons to use for a low stat T6 pet against Wolve? Thank you very much ^^

[edit] I have managed to beat him 3 times but have not succeeded in getting any further than that, even with the

Yeah I'll give it a try, I actually found it slightly difficult to win the 5th time with my Tier 6 Danziel (I'm not quite sure if he's either low to mid 6 as I'm not a heavy battler!) but I sometimes feel that Wolve is about luck due to his freezing attacks. The only damage that he blocks is 5 dark but that's about it. Similar to what I said above, you need to freeze Wolve as soon as possible to bring in the heavy damage onto him so using high freeze weapons is great.

This is my default that I use: *

*you might want to use gorgun as the harp is really expensive! Both these scrolls are very useful for facing Wolve if your pet has enough alchemy points but they only can be used once. If your pet has a lot of points, it might be worth it having singed stuffing scroll 7 points for infinite damage and healing

You may also want to use another Forj defence weapon such as Forj Tempered Tassets (a good cheap one to craft that I use and blocks earth a common icon he uses) and Forj Tempered Hauberk which is a bit expensive and a good healer when can be paired nicely with another forj defence item like the tassets but I'm not too sure how that will work.

Good things to top up on is: use after your first freeze good general defence to defend his most common icons

I hope that helps! ^^

: Thank you very much. I really appreciate your help ^^ I've got the harp since it was sold for restock war points so it should be no problem for me. I'll try my luck with him again :D

That's good, the harp is the best freeze I have. When it was released in the antique shop at 100 mil so I immediately searched the user shops and bought one for 30 mil so that was a bargain! xD Good luck, I hope it works! ;)

Thank you! One more quick question, how do I raise my pet's tier level? That may be a dumb one but like I said, I haven't battled in AWHILE

Hi , I believe that training your pet in Health, Strength, Defense and Speed will eventually raise your pet's tier. Your pet's tier is decided by the sum of the stats above. If you click on the Battle Guide link on the main Challenge page there is a list of stat sums and specific tiers.

You're welcome! ^^ Well tiers are pretty recent feature to the battle system (two years ago probably) so it's quite a change. You usually level it up by training your pet in its stats (levels and intelligence don't count towards it), more info can be found on the site here where it answers most of the battling things.

[edit] beat me to it, it's definitely worth looking at the battle guide to get a better understanding of things.
