Can't battle with any of my pets - including the ones who have minions and therefore cannot play with toys.

This was not an issue prior to today and the release of the morostide challengers.

I'm having the same issue as well! Had to use toys to boost happiness again so that I could battle. :U

Minions are broken and have been for awhile. But Minion-osity doesn't affect whether or not they can play with toys or not for me.

I am having this issue but I'm finding plushies work when played with. Endings has a minion; I had no idea you can't play with toys if they have a minion.

Same here had to buy 20 toys in the last 30 mins. :(

People have been reporting this for a few days now. I was still able to boost happiness with toys, but it's just cheaper to toss them in the resort.

I'm so very confused why you pinged battle when this has everything to do with just the fact that your minions aren't keeping your pet's happiness at max level, which is a known issue. btw, I'm not sure what you mean by "therefore I can't play with toys" Is there no longer an option to play with toys? Toys aren't like food. You can play with toys when your pet is in the resort, has a minion, AND is at max happiness. I am not as smart as I think!

Sending the pet to the resort will boost it's happiness too, it just takes a little longer.

Yeap, all pets have 0 happiness.

My attention was drawn to the unhappiness issue by a comment mention the other day and checked on my pets:

They are all unhappy except the ones in the resort.

I can play with the unhappy ones, though, even though they have "rebellious" minions.

Just a small point of order, you actually can't. Your pet says the toy is boring and nothing happens. When a toy is 'properly' played with, it disappears - just like food and books.

Managed to play with a toy - in the past any pet I had with a minion attached would not play with any toys =/

I couldn't find a report about it in the Known Issues or the Dismissed reports. I missed it when going through the site functionality issues, apologies.

Woah, seriously? I always use my active pet to play with something when Drills wants me to. I wonder if I just always play with my active, get the message, play with a different pet, then just forget about playing with a different pet. I must.

yeah :) I wish they would make it so that at least trying to play counts for Drills so I wouldn't have to skip all of those, I keep all of mine in the resort 95% of the time :P

Fix this!

I think minions should make your pet happy 50% of the time, not 100% because most of us have minions attached to our pets and when doing Major Drills if you have a minion attached you can't play with any toys. At 50% you can at least play with toys to up the happiness of your pets and complete Major Drills instead of canceling that certain quest. And still be able to battle at any given time. MHO. :D

All my pets are 100% happy....
