FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS NOODLE.
I did a brief giveaway yesterday that was food based, and upon doing a search for pasta items, came up with practically NOTHING. As a pasta lover myself, and someone with a kitchen gallery, I am calling, no pleading with the Subeta team to come out with some better pasta items. Whether boxes of dry pasta (omg, I would die of gallery joy), or typical Italian dishes like pasta carbonara, fettuccine alfredo, etc. Something. ;_;
Just to show proof that there is a lack of pasta, NO items exist with the word "pasta" in the name. Vegetarian Garden Vegetable Soup comes up when you do a description search, as well as some cosmic-ish CW. Then I went on, looking for food-specific items with actual pasta (not in the shape of, you're fooling no one zucchini lasagna!) but still searching under List All...
There are four, count that, FOUR spaghetti items that are mostly pirate based and kinda, well, not appetizing.
SIX food items come up when you search "noodle." And it's mostly soup. WAIT - ALL SOUP.
Unless you do descriptive, then you get...
Okay, so I looked for Asian inspired dishes. There are about five I could identify.
So I tried for pasta shapes. You know, linguine, gnocchi, ziti, etc. There are SO MANY to choose from. I mean, look at the vast array below.
First of all, Mac'n'Cheese soup sounds awful. Second of all, do we not have normal mac'n'cheese? I could not find it. D: Also, I searched marinara. Seriously, there was no marinara. Nothing. What? But... it's... not even with bread sticks or mozzarella poppers? Oh... Fried Cheese seems to have some... I think. I hope that's not ketchup. And okay, with the Breaded Prawn Canape, there seems to be a dab in the bottom there. And with the shrimps cocktails. Whew. That was almost a disaster.
SO, Subeta artists, surely you love food. Surely there are carb-lovers among you who are willing to take up the mantel of the glory of pasta in all its forms and raise scrumptious dishes such as bolognese, baked ziti, linguine al pesto and others on high to dazzling item-hood!
I support this.
There is, or used to be, a more extensive suggestion about this somewhere with details and links to pictures, but I couldn't find it. Our foods are definitely pasta deficient and sauce deficient.
Maybe add a tl:dr of this to the end of the OBSCURE MULTIPOST thread?
More pasta but no noodles. Noodles suck :I
This board makes me really sad because it's something that shoulda been covered in stuff month.. instead of more hats and shoes ):
RIP awesome suggestions like this that'll probably never happen.
Pete ate all of the pasta on site /shot
All joking aside, why is there no pasta ?? I hold you directly responsible for this deficiency. JS.

More pasta more pasta more pasta

YES PLEASE fully support anything that has to do with food EVER
I'd eat pasta for breakfast if I could. Support!
Excatly my thought. Tbh the stuff month was quite a disappointment for me, was SO hoping for nice tc stuff only to drown in wearable news posts in the end. They should have called it "RECOLOR ALL THE CLOTHES"-month instead.
But back to topic, I'm supporting the idea of more pasta since the first topic came up many years ago so let's try this again. votes
I'm gonna guess it's prolly actually cocktail sauce, not marinara with the shrimp cocktail :P
But definitely 1000000% support some decent pasta inclusive foods and just plain dry pasta,
I knew it was your fault! jk <3
I know you don't like pasta, but can those of us who are pasta fans have more?? Pretty please with sugar on top? :'D

WOW, I got so much support for this hurrah!
Totally wish we could have had this in September, but... I mean, a big food holiday month is coming up Subeta... WE COULD NOVEMBER ALL ABOUT FOOD. O_O Pretty pls?
( I'm laughing so hard right now because I couldn't understand why everything suddenly said "roostertail" sauce in my post. I was like... that is a horrible mistype on my part. Then got down to yours and was... OH, dirty word filter, got it. XD )
being Italian this saddens me, we have thousands of shapes of pasta and we can cook it in so many different ways, I'm all for having more pasta!
food. all the food. Pasta is love. Spaghetti n meatballs, but personally, MAC N CHEESE everything. It is cheap and I do everything with it. Add sliced hot dogs, or mini meatballs, I've been known to mix in a little ranch dressing or ketchup or mustard or taco sauce or salsa or cottage cheese, sour cream, cream cheese... dice some ham or salami or whatever leftovers we have, it all goes in the pot. Spoon it on warm bread or wrap it in tortillas and dip in ragu alfredo sauce. or marinara sauce. or double cheddar sauce. omg droool... water is waiting to boil now for tonight's spectacular. ooh, and if I have it on hand I'll stir in some meatball-spaghettios, or plain spaghettios.. or any variety of spaghettio or chef boy r d.. not too picky. or yesterday it was hormel chilli.

EDIT EDIT: I'll just leave this here... ENCYCLOPEDIA OF PASTA
although I much prefer prepared dished to a bunch of dry pasta - because irl I don't want to wait for it to cook. Want to put it in my mouth plz.
Oh, great! :D I really love pasta! I'd really like to see some traditional pasta flavours, such as pesto, puttanesca, norma or arrabbiata, among others.
Didn't want to make a board on its own for this but:
Shengui Guo food shops (along the river :3c ) -- maybe stock dumpling and noodle supplies? but also various noodle dishes
noodle supplies: wet udon noodle packages soba noodles bundles of rice stick (usually boxed) rice vermicelli, sweet potato vermicelli, "cellophane" noodles (aka chinese vermicelli) (usually looks like this when packaged, but the colors differ) wonton wrappers dumpling wrappers on the note of dumpling/wonton fillers - ground pork/ground beef would be amazing additions to the Food Market!
general noodle dishes like lo mein/chow mein + pork chicken beef tofu shrimp etc chow fun (chao fen) / shahe fen crispy noodle (+p /c/b) rice vermicelli pho pad thai (different varieties - I know we only got 1 pad thai item from peekaboo tho) (taiwanese) curry noodle sweet potato vermicelli (delicious korean bbq noodle)
more specialized things like: beef tendon ramen
Korean BBQ side dishes reference 1 | reference 2 radish (daikon) cube kimchi seafood and green onion flat pancake Gamja Jeon (potato.. pancake? croquette?) Lotus root simmered in the soy sauce sweet braised potato (ball or cubes) seafood* pancakes - often oyster, tuna, squid... cucumber/seaweed salad
pan-asian / ramen sides or additions: braised egg a close relative, the (chinese) tea egg weird chinese thing often eaten in congee: century egg naruto, aka narutomaki (sliced fish cake, usually has a pink swirl) dried seaweed flakes sliced woodear mushrooms enoki mushroom (already on site, just listing as a ramen thing) konbu (kelp) menma (it's a bamboo shoot thing) aburaage (it's the fried and then braised in mirin, which makes it very sweet) (it's that sweet tofu pouch you see in sushi) GREEN ONION WHY DOESNT THIS SITE HAVE GREEN ONION THIS SITE ALSO DOESNT HAVE FRESH CILANTRO AKA CORIANDER WHAT IS THIS MADNESS
dumplings, potstickers, and wonton fillings: leek/pork(or other meat) cabbage/pork(or other meat) The above combos with shitake mushroom is also common. Sometimes vegetarian ones filled with leek/mushroom and cabbage are made, or with leek/mushroom/chopped up vermicelli)
will edit with more suggestions later
