That shows up at the top of my post when I try to edit it. The post in question is the first one in this thread:
Deadlines: Retirement Reminders 2015
It's a long post (~57,600 characters), but the 2014 deadlines thread was over 68,000 characters at its longest and never had this problem. Has something changed? Or could it be my edit history that's getting too long? If that's the case, is there a way to have that cleared? You probably don't need 9 months worth of minor edits backed up. :P
Fun fact: 134217728 bytes == 134 MB, and the text file backup I have of my post is about 50 KB. So that doesn't add up at all.

I don't know about the total allowed but maybe the difference between the text file and the actual post is that you have to take into account that your post actually includes pictures and links?
Could you maybe put the "Older Events/Retirements" section down to a lower post and link to it? Meanwhile I can check and see what is up.

- That's a good thought about the extra formatting and images. I was only thinking about plaintext last night. But I just tested, and if I download the entire page (File > Save Page As...), the result is under 7 MB.
Anyway, I moved the "Older Events/Retirements" like you suggested, and it worked. I still think there's something funny going on behind the scenes that should be looked into, but at least I can edit again in the meantime. :D

Oh of course! Like I said, I am still reporting it :) I just wanted to help out until I get an answer on it! Glad my temp fix worked.

There is not much that we can do here. I can't see any changes on the back end, but I would advise to separate the post among a few so that you do not hit the maximum on one.
I had this issue when posting big rp replies for a user run event. Found that the only way around it was to delete all text and write something like 'edit' then save the post.
Refresh the page and go back to edit, this time paste everything at once.
For some reason that did the trick, if its too big editing even a single word kills it. But pasting it all in from wordpad made it not catch the post size xD So maybe itd work? Not sure though as your post is far larger than most of those rps and they didnt include images/item codes.
