So I'm wondering a few things... Should I replace any of my current defaults with any from the second list, or would that depend on the opponent?

I was looking at the MC and wonder if the Twisted Obsidian Glove is worth buying and equipping. When winter rolls around, is the Aerial Assault Jet Pack worth considering?

Is there anything else worth investing in, like the short swords? Is Sentinel worth buying/

honestly the best thing imo in tier 9 is which will replace your kismets cosmic elixir, everything else is a bit underwhelming. you can make the helmet with your battle tokens once you save up enough. the short swords may be nice if you lack the defenses they provide. save your money and don't buy those things in the MC, tier 10 is when more, better options open up. you can probably use your minotaur knocker instead of one of your weapons that doesn't have a heal. it sorta depends on your challenger because your pirate cutlass will be really handy against an opponent that does water offense, but not so much against an opponent that doesn't do water offense. minotaur knocker is nice because it provides a heal on each attack.

Thank you. I might just buy the helmet though as I got my very first Extremely Hard tokens yesterday (yay at beating Fruit Salad a couple of times). When I'm able to save up and make one myself I can just re-sell it, I won't mind taking a loss on it. I'll have to see what I've got. I did a fair bit of changing crystals yesterday (not something I've done a lot of in the past). Fortunately I've got some time. Based on how long it took me to get from 8 to 9, 10 will be a while yet. However, yeah, I won't spend money on the MC items right now. That's one of the reasons I'm going to miss using Massaquerade with this pet (though my T5 and T6 [edit: T4 and T5, I mentally bumped them up so only one can use it] will still get a lot of use out of it). Yeah, I think I'll put the Knocker in to replace the Rift Blade or Pirate Cutlass for the defaults (and bonus, I can use the cutlass then for my HA during Keelhauliday).

helmet can be hard to sell, I really suggest just waiting awhile and saving up for it. your kismet thing will hold awhile. for crystals, I really only use parched baguettes, singed baguettes, crit strike tears, and if the enemy steals a lot, blessing of natural armor. is right about the reviver and somas, they will come back to the antique shop on the 1st so I would suggest buying both of those. tier 9 though lacks too many unique items that won't immediately get replaced in tier 10. I still think it's probably best to just save up for some t10 things at that point. blessed trident is kinda too expensive for its own good, and t11 has a much cheaper wind blocking option.
