it looks like the pound is being flooded by pets created solely to be pounded for trolling purposes. mostly just Kumos with weird name created within a few days ago. maybe this is legal, but i hate it. such a dick move. ruining the view of the pound.

When in doubt, file a ticket? I know that people trolling the forums have been frozen. I've also seen certain username and pet name choices get the boot as well. The new Community Guidelines are in play and staff does use common sense against trolls.

I prefer to see the 50+ oddly named common kumos than literally nothing in there all day every day. At least something might be hiding behind those guys, ain't nothing hiding behind nothing.

Then again, I'm prob biased. I've spent like 4-5 hours less a day on subeta since the pounds been empty due to the lack of an idle past-time (pound surfing lol), so I'd rather like to see it full again.

(Edit2add: I don't think this is/should be against the rules? I mean, are those pets hurting anyone... none of the names are horribly offensive or trolling and there's nothing in the rules about not being able to create/abandon pets at will..)

that seem rather harsh. plus i don't want to bother the staff. i believe they have a lot of tickets already with real problems.

then we are different people. haha. while i like to browse pound full of pets, i certainly don't like to see pets created just to be pounded.

I think certain staff basically exist to deal with tickets so I disagree that creating them is bothersome. A freeze would be excessive but this seems like the kind of thing a verbal would take care of, but the latter is just my opinion. It's not clearly delineated but I think it is at least frowned upon since staff do clear the pound and rename badly named pounded pets as well.

I saw those names and though it doesn't bother me, I did have to shake my head and think "Why...just why?" ;)

Unless the names were openly abusive, I don't see why staff should delete them, tho

this thread cracked me up. gabbogabbo12 is an icon. anyway, i'm with on this. i love to dick around and look through the pets and i've found that even when there's like...... four pets in there i still find myself refreshing because i have nothing better to do and also i'm not paying enough attention to realize i'm not getting anywhere. while it is sort of a pain to see almost the exact same name in there 20 times when they all get dumped at the same time, i'd rather see those than nothing. and i'd much rather see an actual variety of pets (not necessarily hundreds, even having 50 to look at is nice at this point) than the clan of gabbogabbos.

I love this thread. We should make a gabbogabbo shrine. But, that aside. I'd love to see the poor things renamed to something less gabbo-ish at this point.

While I can see why it's annoying... it happened before and maybe we should just make the best out of it and have some fun with them.

If only I had an open pet slot, i would take turns adopting the gabbogabbo's and zapping them into experiments every 2 hours and pounding them again.

I was trying to get the 40 Pet achievement (I've only got the one pet). Was late at night and didn't feel like getting creative.

FYI, the 'gabbogabbo' part came from the Simpsons episode 'Gabbo'.

Didn't think it would really bother anyone. Figured they'd be adopted to zap or cleared in the next Pound wipe.

Sorry if it annoys anyone. It's not like I'm going to do it again. LOL Still can't be worse than 'MileyCyrusCool' etc etc.

Glad to see at least some of them found good homes or as zaps. :)
