I thought it would be helpful (it will help me at least) to have a post with all the questions asked about the new contest and their answers, since searching through the News comments and forum can be kind of a pain. I don't think the Admin Posts includes News comments anyway.

So here's some copy-pasted stuff between the users and Amber.

I’ll edit the news post to include this but — It has to be an item like old minions, plushies, beanbags, etc. You could pick an old trunk like So Coy Heavy Chest. You could pick a specific animal out of the animal chance machine. CSC cards and GAs do not count.

Nope! You’ll have to pick one item. Though we have had some items in the cash shop that are one item and give more out (So Coy for example!)

this might be a silly question, but does the cash shop prize also include items from CS bonus weekends (the special items you get when purchasing CSC)? i would think those wouldn&;t be included as they&;re not really "cash shop" items and are intended to be rewards for spending actual money on the site, but i just want to make absolutely certain.

This hasn't been answered yet, but I'm curious too.

As long as it’s a beer, ale, cider, etc you can use any NPC/inspiration! It’s going to be sold in the Brewery but it doesn’t mean it needs to be fall themed.

It’s a brewery… so yeah, try to make a cider, ale, beer, etc.

I mean you can make an IPA, Cider, Lager, Malt, Stout, etc. It doesn't have to be named like "Spirt Beer" haha

Try to make it subeta related! Anything obviously based off something like a TV show faces the chance of having issues with copyright.

We have a few examples of not having like ale, beer, etc in the name for our Alegarten drinks, so that’s fine. 😊 Just try to make it very clear in the description what it is! (Example of one of our drinks: Mug of Helles with the description being ‘Order this pale lager during Alegarten, and you will get a hefty liter mug! But not to worry; while a liter might look intimidating to the uninitiated, this beer is so light and refreshing that you might find yourself downing it quickly and asking for more.’)

I wouldn’t make that your main focus, but I don’t see why you can’t include a general bottle shape or something. If I were entering this, I would def include things about the bottle like “x glass color, x general shape”.

Nope! When voting opens, all the ideas will be anonymous (as in the usernames won’t be shown). People should be voting for the brew they think sounds the best, looks the best, is the coolest, etc. I personally will be keeping in mind my pets when I go to vote because there is some great potential for TC items out of this!

If you aren’t submitting a drawn out logo, just try to do your best to describe it so other users will understand it (and hopefully vote for it).

You will not get to edit your submission. I’ve had a programmer edit the information on the page to show that the “describe your brew here” is actually the item description section and the logo section should be for the other information like general feel for the bottle or like the page says “If you are just writing out what your logo entails, please be as detailed as possible. Important details such as if your brew comes in a six pack, if it’s a cider or ale, if a particular NPC endorses it, etc.”

Yes! Users are voting on item name, item description, and logo (doesn’t matter if it is art or just written out). And yeah you can have both the logo art and written out.

I don't drink so I don't know shit about alcohol except that Guinness can be used to make chocolate cake and that even a small amount of sake gives me crazy bad heartburn. I was just thinking that it'd be nice to have a contest though.

This is a really fun contest- definitely not something I would have considered. I had lots of fun researching my mythical beer and designing the label.

I hope there are a lot of good entries. Haven't really seen many people discussing this, I worry that people are scared off because of the 'design the logo' element.
