Staff, can we have a place in Shadowglen to visit him?
Ffffff- Yes! I would love if we could have this. It would be great if they did that with all the councilors to be honest. You could go to their homes/offices and maybe they could have a few quotes (like current events happening in their region), campaign speeches, or maybe some polls to see what you would be interested in pertaining to their region? The users are already greatly involved with Subeta's economy, why not the politics as well? Granted this idea should probably go in "Suggestions" (which I most likely will be doing soon), but it isn't entirely off topic.
But yes I agree. I will miss him as well. :(
I think the councillors are really cool, but I'd love to see them play a larger and more active role in the site. I think it would be a great idea to have one (or more!) of the following: An embassy in Centropolis, where you can go and see the various lands' councillors (maybe they can cycle out, either a new one each day or throughout the course of the day). They could each have a set of randomized sayings that appears when you go to the building, something like: "You enter the embassy and see Saggitarius sitting at his desk. Saggitarius: Go away, can't you see I'm doing very important paperwork?" or "You enter the embassy and see Rosemary sitting at her desk. Rosemary: Have you heard Johannes' new CD yet? The music is captivating!"
Offices in each of the lands for its respective councillor. These could also have short randomized statements, like my above examples, or they could have more detailed information about local events in that area of Subeta (if there's a holiday going on, they could say something like, "Right now, we're celebrating [Alegarten, Fireside, Morostide, etc] here in [Veta, Shadowglen, etc]!" with a link to the main page for that holiday (the bonfire, Jaxon's pumpkin patch, Melody's cottage...) and a brief description of the holiday) or even campaign slogans, polls on new features for that land, etc.
they/them/theirs, please.
Support- this would add a lot of worldbuilding/local color to Subeta.
Definite support for anything. As quoted I'd like to see some sort of random chance that one would call on us for help, but getting their characters actual homes to reside in would be a step towards that.

Thanks for making the thread!
I'm all for world building. An embassy in Centropolis would probably be the easiest thing to do (easier than each of them having their own home in each land). I like the idea of a quest, maybe they could ask for some items from their land? Although I think we have enough quests for now.
They could have some kind of bureaucratic function. Like if you want to change a pets name/change your own name or something stuff could be housed there. Maybe you could go there to get permission for something. Not sure. Just throwing some ideas around.
Yes! Thank you for posting this. I've been meaning to make this thread myself but have been way too busy. Thanks for pinging me :)

Support. I love the councillors.
Maybe they could set it up so that every two hours~ the councillor who's there changes, and then at night the offices are closed.
Or alternately, thinking of other timezones, there's a different counselor every day of the week.
Support!
Support. It's weird that the lands have these governing officials, yet except for Saggi, Allard, and Rosemary they're nowhere to be found on a normal day.
A single council building located in Centropolis would probably work best. The building behind the polls already looks like it could be some sort of government building, so it wouldn't even require any edits to be made to the map artwork.
And maybe we could also get a new addition to the council. Now that it's opening up to the the rest the world, Shengui Guo should think about sending a representative.
I would love to see something like this. Even though their art is nice, right now it's hard for me to care much about any of these characters because we know so little about them aside from a quick blurb in the Subetapedia (which is a good start, at least - but it's just a start). I liked Connor's involvement in the plot, and the occasional in-character news post is cute too, but...more. I would like to see more. Having a place where we could go and see the councilors, whether it's a building in Centropolis (I prefer this idea) or an office somewhere in the land they represent, would go a long way towards that.
Once the novelty wears off for most of the site, though, most people would probably need a reason to go see them, and that's where I think a quest-type activity could come in handy. I was thinking similar to Oracle's quests, where you get a random event that says "(Councilor's name) needs you to get a (random thing)!" You'd go back to the right office to complete the quest, and get maybe a trinket and/or TINY amount of sP and a special message. Or just the message. Maybe even tie an achievement or forum title to completing a certain number of those quests (I'd also be okay with that last one being the only reward - lord knows we've got enough junk items and sP around.)
Anyway, that got longer than I intended, but yeah, even without my idea babbling, I like the original suggestion and I hope it gets considered.
I agree. The councilors need a larger role on the site.

What was the question?
Definitely support this! I like a lot of the ideas that are hear too. Such as the embassy with an Oracle type quest for different Councillors. And rather than an sP or item reward, achievement with tiers and titles might be the best. Like: "________ is an errand runner" "________ is an intern" "_________ knows politics" "Vote _________ for Councillor" These might all be fun forum titles! Wish I could think of more... I am sure there are lots of fun ideas that we could do with this.
Oh! Oh! Another idea! Though I would love to have each Councilor located in his/her own land, the embassy would be great as well. But if we do the embassy, what if we make it different levels like the Blue Building where each one has their own level? That way, we could visit all the councilors instead of having them rotate out. This would make the whole idea of the possible "councilor quests" much easier in contacting the needed councilor for the quest, or to hear about the current events going on in their land like Armor said...

So much support for this. <3
Support. This is the sort of world-building we need more of
Heck, just give them ambassadorial offices in the Blue Building. It would improve that place by 10000%.
I think they at least deserve some swanky villa in their home region, even if they're never there.
I thought the Blue Building was run by the Queen Bee-thing? Hardly democratic.
Huh, you have a point, I forgot about that.
On the other hand, she just runs the blue building and not all of Centropolis, so maybe she's just an ambassador herself, running her own sovereign territory in the middle of Sebastian Phoenix's realm. 8D
