I'm extremely excited by Shengui Guo but maybe not for the same reason as other people.

Chances are that it's a new minion. It's not the only strange new animal in that boat.

I'm sure there may be a new specie or two coming into play with a new land, too...o.o

I see more than just that critter in that boat, though, so maybe it'll be a new minion shop? Possibly even in the same format as the food one, where there will be a few different minions a day and it's always changing???

i do like the new format for that food shop :) everyone has a chance to buy this way - i dont have to worry that i am a bit slow and always miss the newer items that way :) i just love it !!!!

I can't see there NOT being new species...it IS a new land after all :P I do hope that Staff surprises us with a new colour though, too! It's been a while since we had one o.o

However, it'd be nice if other pets wound up getting the rest of the current colours first, though. So many don't have them all yet (ARE there even pets that have the full range of colours yet?)

Loop asked the question in the news feed about a minion shop regarding that new little creature and answered saying it was a terraptrine. It doesn't look like one to me but I dunno.

i think the terraptrine is the guy sleeping on the balcony on the right of the boat (above the yellow chelon)

I agree that it's probably a minion, and that boat is a minion shop.

What about the thing in the top right corner? It almost looks like a mahar, but it doesn't have gems and it's overgrown with moss or something:
