I don't know who I should ping about this, who releases items and/or decides on the colors etc. but seriously this is by far one of my most favorite items on site, yet, I am extremely disappointed that only the regular "human" skintones colors were done!! Some of us prefer to be of a different kind, I mostly wear the black and grey skins. There is such a huuuge lack of items onsite, sP and CWs alike, that match those colors, it's super sad and annoying. I understand the beige ones must be more popular, but it doesn't mean you'd lose sales or anything since it's transformable anyways!! So if you're going to make it transform, might as well make it offer all skintones, no? To match your whole site options!! It's one of the first items of its quality and kind in terms of adding movement to the HA, please let it be wearable and fun for all of us, not just regulars.

Artists are paid up to X number of recolors for an item, so they had to choose which ones would be the most used.

YES PLEASE. 99% of my HAs have gray skin, lemme have some fun with new items too ;n;

I dunno why we need recolor for every single natural skin color when some of them are almost the same.

I think this would be a wonderful option but also think it's likely too costly for the site to actually implement. Each recolor requested adds more overhead costs, and if the majority of site users tend to use normal skin colors it may not make sense economically to have overlays made for the rest. I agree that it would be a nice option though if it were feasible.
