In all the previous boss battles anytime i logged in on those days i could battle the boss, this boss is entirely for America only! How am i supposed to compete in a faux global battle event when said battles wholely exclude my log in times by around 6-10 hours. I can battle (just made it to t13 today!), i want to battle but i cant coz the event is designed in such fashion. Why change from the previous inclusive settings to this America only version?
i do agree that it isnt quite as global as it sounds. europe did get fucked over.
edit: i'm in nz so the first two phases were reasonable times for me, 4pm and 9am.
Had you been online yesterday, at the exact same time you're posting, you would have been able to fight the first phase of the boss.
I think a longer window of time would give battlers over different time zones a chance to fight the boss if the staff can't be on exactly in European prime time. The 1st form took about 6 hours, whereas the 2nd form about 7 hours. I'm sure the previous boss had around 12 hours for both incarnations, which is more than a day in total.
(I had things to do this evening and missed most of the window, but that's life and I can't complain. Still wished it lasted longer.)

Translation: How dare you not accommodate me!
They split it between three different times to try to give everyone a shot. 12AM, 5PM, 12PM. (12AM times got raged on in the news from some stating it was much too late and unfairly catering to overseas.) I don't remember how long the first round lasted (and I'm too lazy for research) but the second ended a bit after 10. If we arguably state that all would last that long (approx 5 hours), that's 15 different hours covered.
I'm in australia and 90% of them time, my timezone means that if I want to fight the boss I'm up til all hours. This time I was actually around for the first two waves, so I can't complain - but I can understand how crappy it is to be on the wrong side of the world when plot stuff's going down. It sucks. But short of hiring outside the US, I don't know how a US-based company can accommodate every single timezone. :/
global boss means everyone fights it at once, not that it's actually accommodating the entire globe. I do live in the time zone that the times favored most, but I would have been awake for whatever time zone it was released in, if you're dedicated enough, you'll make sacrifices to do this.
The BAs we have both live on the east coast of North America. They need to be on for the fights so they can monitor everything. Things will inherently favor American time zones just because of this.
I do have my own problems with global bosses, and I don't actually know if the 3 waves with cumulative scoring solves any problem... but I kinda appreciate the change up.
On a side note because it's related to the challengers, please do not release limited time opponents with the boss next time. If I ain't mistaken, once the boss is gone the challengers are too. That's only within 3 days. Either it's going to be battling the "weaklings" after a burnout session from the boss, or time diverted from the boss fight if you have something to do the next coming days (and you want to get wins in). We have more pets than we do back then, so it's something to consider.
I also find that it's easier to beat. I don't see this one hanging around for as long. Usually they last longer than this

It's a little frustrating imo that these are such short stages. I work 12+ hour days most weekends. I was able to sit down for about 15 minutes last night to fight against Kiyo's first stage, but I completely missed the second stage and it's looking like I'll miss the third as well.
rn I sort of feel like, why am I training a pet and investing all this time and energy if I don't actually get to enjoy these special one-time-only challengers? If I have to miss out on related achievements or prizes b/c the window for obtaining them is so small? For the other stages of the plot we had days to complete them, but not this one.
I live in the US and weekends in general don't work for me. I had a little time to fight Kiyo last night (second stage) but I was getting ready for bed when the first came out and I might have a little time to fight her this afternoon, but I definitely won't be here for at least 2-3 hours after her final stage release.
But I know that's not subeta's fault, and they're trying. I kind of just suck it up and fight if/when I can. I got around ~25k damage in and a maybe 5k with my second pet, I just don't have enough time to fight with both this time around :/
I like the inclusion of specific times, but maybe the next global boss needs more HP in total - that would mean (in theory at least) it should be available for longer, so more people can battle, right?
I got 6 battles in against the first one - I had all morning available to battle, but it was defeated after those 6 battles (roughly 9am my time) :( More HP for that challenger would've meant I stood more chance of getting a decent amount of battles in ;)

I agree. The only reason I caught it yesterday was because I was awake at 5am, then it disappeared around 9am uk time. Today when I got on, Kiyo had already been defeated....then when it comes back at noon, It will be like 7pm my time. So much for trying to cater to all timezones?
I use the same hour as Subeta and 11pm is sleeping time for me because I go to college. So yeah, not sure if "American" have it easy? I couldn't battle the first wave at all and luckily I could tackle some hit during the second wave. I think it depends on everyone and their lifestyle ..
In a perfect world each stage could be released 3 times a day per every time zone, the users who battled in one time zone can't battle the others, and so on for the two other stages.. but it's not a perfect world, so I guess all we have left is to keep on complaining and keep on playing.. X_X
I went to sleep at 4am yesterday... :(
I actually very much appreciated not only the attempt to give everyone a fair chance at fighting, but also the pre-announcement of the times. None of them work perfect for me but at least this way I know beforehand and can attempt to squeeze some time in. I think no matter what the staff tries to do to make it fair someone is always going to complain.
Well, as others pointed, it's more a matter of lifestyle, and with the 3rd release the boss will be around for more than 15 different hours.
In my case, I have been able to so something on the 1st relase, but totally missed the 2nd, all because I went to a wedding. If I didn't have to go to the wedding I shoud have been able to participate on the 2nd release too. But probably I might come when the boss is back for the 3rd time.
Conclusion: I am european and had not been because of real-life compromisses (wedding) I could have participated in all 3 releases of the world-battle boss.
and you have absolutely been found wanting
But hey "they don't have to cater to everyone and the staff doesn't have to make any plots so you just have to be happy no matter what!"
But there are many other countries in the same timezones, not just the US.
