So I helped Charity and headed on back to give Pete a hand, but I don't know how to make it go any further! I played the game again (as I'm assuming I was supposed to do) but it isn't registering on the green bar at all. And I obviously can't talk with the R.Beasty. Is this the end of it for tonight? Is this the dead end I was supposed to come to?

You have to get a score of at least 10 (and submit it) in order to move on in your plot. But yeah, the bar is a cumulative thing based on how much we're all playing the game.
