Hi, I am relatively new here and have a few questions about a steamwork pet. I want to make a steamwork swampy. Do I need to already have a swampy to make a steamwork one? do i need the special key and the steamwork swampy schematic or are there additional items? i thank anyone who can give me help in this matter ^^

You don't need to have a swampy already, as the schematic will determine the species of your future SW pet. And yes, you only need the key and the schematic.
