I really expected this to be changed by now, but nope- posts that you make in private forums still show up in your friend feed unless you switch on the privacy option for all of your forum posts.

Also, unless I'm mistaken, the privacy options page doesn't even have a link anymore, and that's pretty inconvenient too. This is the page to change them, if anyone would like that. There's some things I'm proud of and want to share (like battle wins) unless it's going to positively flood someone's friend feed, and then I might hide them for that day.
Please return this link to the Friend Feed options page!

Back to the private forums, I really enjoy seeing what my friends are posting. I like reading their opinions on things, seeing what they're selling, etc, and I would hate to have all of them hide their forum posts, but it feels a little wrong when I can see little previews of their conversations being posted on boards that are supposed to be hidden from me.
I assume this would be fairly easy to do since posts from the staff forums never show up, unless that's some other sort of setup.

Your signature is 913 px wide by 77 px tall. Please note this can be affected by CustomCSS if you have any.

(Because text affects the width of your signature, we suggest testing with all text removed to be sure your width is correct.)

I'd really like this to be fixed (because.. hmm..) but I wonder if the thread isn't more suited in Problems and Bugs? Since it's not really supposed to be happening anyway

I think this wasn't even in consideration when they created the private forums. It could be either. But I don't think most people even know this is happening.

I agree, private should stay private so I hope this will get fixed soon.

Also, thank you so much for the link,

Yes, they are linked to forum groups. If you have a forum group just for friends, for example, you can create your own private forum that only you and the people in that group can access.

Hmm, you might be right, actually.

Could I get this moved to problems and bugs, please?

What makes a forum group private versus public? I just joined a cult that exists through a public forum group and its connected forums, and I like being able to get to the posts I make there through my Recent Posts page. Is it something the group owner sets at the beginning or can toggle?

That makes sense. I'm a little surprised it hasn't come up before, really.
