What features do you love about Subeta?

I'd like to know what everyone's favorite (and maybe no so favorite) features about Subeta are. If you've played a different pet site, what do you wish they would bring to Subeta from said site or why do you like Subeta's Features better than the other site? You don't have to name the other site if you dont want to :)
Personally, I came here just about month ago. When i first got here, i thought i could never love Subeta as much as some other sites ive tried out, and definitely not more. Apparently i was wrong. Today i was thinking about it and i have come to prefer Subeta for so many reasons. Below are my reasons why i came to enjoy Subeta more and the tiny number of things i wish they'd bring here.
My Reasons
Community: The main reason i have come to love Subeta so much is simply because of the community here. Everyone here is so friendly!
Its almost intimidating to post on the forums on some other sites.You post wondering if your actually going to get an answer or if everyone is just going to be rude. I have seen so much hostility its unbelievable. Down to stupid little stuff like 'your font is horrible, change it' instead of actually answering the person's question. Or you ask a question and get smartass remarks that dont help at all, then they claim to just be 'joking' so they dont get reported and still never answer your question.
Subeta does not have this issue at all in any way. Here i am not at all intimidated to post on the forums because ive gotten nothing but love from everyone here. Something that would be considered a 'stupid question' on neo, people understand here that not everyone knows everything about the site. People here dont reply to your posts with 'joking' (rude) remarks and actually answer your questions.
The Staff: Along with Community comes the staff.
The staff here is always around! is always seen around the forums commenting on stuff and helping with issues. Issues get addressed quickly and often fixed in the same day, if not the next. Theres not much else to say about Subeta staff other than 'You guys rock!!'
...sadly, the same cannot be said for some other sites.
Coding: I love to code and there is so much more freedom with coding here on Subeta!
Now, as ive only been here a month, im not completely sure if there is actually anything blocked here on Subeta, but i have yet to find anything. I've have already progressed a lot in my coding/layout making ability just since being here due to the freedom i have to actually code what i want to! Yay Subeta!
They have blocked sooo much coding from being implemented on other sites that its not even funny. Basically what you can do on neo extends to making anchored layouts and regular scrolling layouts, none of this 'transitioning' stuff allowed. Even silly things like certain positioning tags are blocked. I'm sure they have their reasons, logical or not. Its super irritating either way.
Filters: Or lack there of!
I can talk about literally anything i want to here! Tumblr, Neopets, LGBT, ANYTHING. I love it, really its awesome and so... freeing. lol.
Some sites have the silliest words filtered. I mean really, the word 'uncle' is blocked on neo because of the whole 'Say uncle! Say uncle!' thing everyone has heard at least once as a kid. The word 'skill' is blocked because it contains the word 'kill' and tons more just like it. You also cannot refer to any other pet sites in any way, absolutely no 'outside of neo' site talk allowed besides 2-4 fansites and google... seriously, you will get warned and possibly frozen for it.
Hover Info: Subeta simply takes the cake for this feature. I have actually been finding myself attempting to hover over items on other sites due to getting so used to it here. It easily makes things 1000 times better, period.
Pet Customization: This is one area where i think Subeta could do slightly better.
There is no pet customizing on here such as backgrounds and clothing (like with the HAs), considering they are sentient creatures, i find this a bit sad. I'm not an artist in any sense of the word. For me that means searching for a good artist to make an overlay and waiting until however long it takes them to finish said overlay, all while hoping to love it when theyre finished. And if you dont love it, waiting longer and having to tell someone you dont like what they took their time to physically draw and edit for you.
I understand the artists here are appreciated more, and are actually treated as real artists, because thats what they are, with the ability to sell their art, which is completely fair and i do think that is great!!
I just wish we had the option to add backgrounds to our pets. They could implement this and still keep the custom pets (idk it may be way harder than just that, but i would imagine it would work the same as Custom Wearables), though maybe people here are opposed to this. In which case, i can live with that. :)
Human Avatars: At first i thought the avatars were a bit silly to be honest, but ive grown to love my avatar over the past few weeks.
The issue i have now is not with the avatars themselves so much as I actually feel like the avatars may take away from the importance of the pets. Everyone is so consumed with customizing their HAs (which i totally understand) that the pets seem a bit secondary to it all (at least in my opinion). Though i think this could be fixed if we could customize our pets the same way as our avatars.
As a side note to this, i wish there was some way to tell if an item is wearable without having to hover over each item until you see one that has an HA preview. There are so many things that are wearable that do not look like they would be, like books and rocks, jars of dirt, and some other random things ive seen around. I know these things have multiple uses and that they cant just look like a piece of clothing, but it does make it harder to find the wearable stuff. Possibly implementing some sort of small symbol on the picture somewhere to indicate that it is also wearable would make finding things so much easier. But i can see how some people may see it as more of a 'thrill of the hunt' type of things since you have to 'hunt' for items to wear instead of just being able to tell which items are wearable at first glance.
If i come up with any other reasons ill edit them in, i know this is a bit long winded, but that was kind of the point. id like to start a conversation about what features you like about Subeta vs. any other pet sites you may have played. I have grown to love Subeta very quickly and easily consider it the best pet site in general, so id like to hear why everyone else loves Subeta instead!

It's not so much a feature, really, but I love the fact that we can talk to the staff and ask them questions and disagree sometimes and not get in trouble. I love that they answer us and we can have conversations about things we love about the site and things that could use help. They're approachable and that is so appreciated.
Then of course, there's the fact that we can have a shit-ton of pets if we so choose. That's awesome. XD
Oh! There's also the fact that I can use the word 'FUCK' if I want to. And sometimes I really fucking want to.
oh i totally forgot about the number of pets topic! Yes yes yes, i love it because ive had to make several useless accounts on other sites just to have more pets.
I'm glad we can only have one account here and that they totally understand we want as many pets as we can get! Lol.
The staff is totally awesome too, i saw Keith posting on the comments about the 'vault interest news post' and going back and forth with people about it, i love that!
I like the fact that the art market exists! Seriously, that place is my gateway to all the pretty art, free or not. Also, it taught me how to order art online since I have never did it before.
- The fact that items can have many uses; for example, a given item could be a wearable, minion, weapon AND edible all at once. I don't actually know if there are any items like that... but there COULD BE, and that's awesome.
- The fact that the shop search automatically shows the lowest price, no paid account needed, and NO LIMIT on how much you can search.
- The fact that staff actually COMMUNICATES with the userbase, and implements feedback and suggestions!
- The fact that I can actually make (a lot of) money with a little effort, and also that CSC and CS items can be bought with in-game currency.
- The fact that overlays are a thing. The Subeta art is great, but sometimes it just doesn't fit... so I can cover it up, and if I pay 500 CSC it can be permanent and recognized by the site. That just blows me away.
This is just what I can think of off the top of my head. I know there's loads more stuff. Every time someone comes here from Neo I sing Subeta's praises until I'm blue in the face. ^^
The only thing that I can think of that I liked better at Neo was the battle system... it's flash based rather than... uh... whatever Subeta uses, which seems a little clunky. But I'm not a hardcore battler, and Neo's battledome is glitchy as hell anyway, so I'm not really complaining. :)

Pets - and the ability to give custom art, elaborate stories and profiles. Honestly was so disappointed when Neo killed the nice art on site just for making a clothing doll out of pets :/ Battling and HA's - my favorite pastimes on here. I suck at both but oh well :P Plots - Because who doesn't love a good story? Especially when they often refer to past events, not to mention: Humour - There's a good balance between silly slapstick, puns and srs business on here. Staff - They listen, are nice and generally does everything to help as fast as possible. Language - While I'm a bit sad everything but Smail is English Only I can understand why, but the fact we get to talk more or less about anything we possible can imagine, use whatever words we like within reason and getting treated like adult well.... it's awesome. So few places you can that now a days online. .... and multiple pages more things I like, but those are the majors.
I love everything that's been said here and more! I came here kind of with an idea of what I was gonna expect already. I was on Gaia Online for a few years (but this was a long time ago--from I think 2006 to about 2009) and I had a very brief stint on Neopets when I was a kid. I loved Gaia for the games and of course for the items! I loved Neopets because I loved having pets to take care of (I was in my Tamagotchi phase at the time too). Coming to Subeta has been a bit of a nostalgia bomb for me because it combines the best of both of those sites with tons of things that make it entirely unique! :D
Like a lot of other people one of the things that made me stick around was the community. I read a lot of comments on news posts during my first couple weeks here and it was shocking how nice people were. I remember being genuinely surprised when Ontras got a revamp and I saw people thanking the artist! That just wouldn't happen on a lot of other sites.
There are just so many options to everything! I think it's already been mentioned that you can get almost any item that's normally bought with other currencies in user shops if you have enough sP. I just love that! And when the latest plot included an option for non-battlers to help fight kiyo... that was just awesome! I really love it here. I think Subeta might be my favorite site at the moment c:
Aside from the artwork and humour, what I really like about Subeta is that it is really easy to earn money here, which I can then spend on all the cool things i want to collect. When I played Neopets it was soo impossibly hard for me to buy anything nice.
i love the staff! they're always fast and helping us :) the pets are cute and we've got pretty avatars to work on ;o
I want to agree with everything that everybody has mentioned. The people here make this site stand apart and above all the other pet sites I have tried.
One of my first experiences with the staff was a help ticket that I submitted because I had somehow increased magnification on this site and everything looked HUGE. Not only was my initial conversation with the staff friendly, but it was so FAST! Other sites took a week to get to me, while this one took maybe 5 minutes, if that. The staff member was so helpful and patient and figured out what was wrong. For that experience alone, I simply adore the staff team here and they won me over with superb Customer Service skills.
The other thing I really love is the content that is always being created and added. From new artwork to story arcs and plot lines to new additions to make our Subeta browsing experience better and easier than ever. When problems happen that cause the site to have serious issues, they are quick to fix it or they have apologized or rewarded us for our patience. How cool is that!? I've been on other sites where I've just received a "so sad, too bad" attitude, which is why I am on this site and not those now.
I really enjoy seeing the Subeta staff post, whether it is in the guise of NPCs or on their own accounts, I love seeing them post and interact with us.
I also love the fact that just about any pet is obtainable with some effort and time. Other pet sites make owning a virtual pet almost impossible. Either they are so over-priced or impossible to obtain (retired). Even if I only manage to log in for a few minutes at a time, I still can work towards goals and get them within a reasonable time frame. From changing my avatar's outfit, or feeding a pet, questing, or making a post on the forums. Doing just about anything on this site has the potential to grant me something, even if it is a random event.
The other thing I wanted to mention was how much I appreciate and treasure items that the team has added to commemorate an event or passing of a well-loved, remarkable person. Items such as these are most treasured, and appreciated: Thank you Subeta!
Wardrobe system is so huge and extensive and beautifully drawn.
Questing has been made so much easier and tolerable. Good system.
It's not a feature, but the ability and willingness of members to contribute to the Subetan community via the forums. This site is very user-friendly (never has been perfect of course, but it would be hard to argue that over the past 2 years or so it has gotten much easier to navigate and use the site).
