Pirate Panic was working perfectly for me until I went out and then came back in. Now the cannon won't fire at all. Is this because I got enough levels to advance the plot, or is it a glitch. (I'd like to do the whole 15 for the achievement.)

happened to me the first time I played, I thought it was the power up I used. the 4th power up requires you to hold space, but the first time it happened, I was using the third power up. the other 3 times I played, I didn't run into this.

Right now, I can't even get started again. The cannon just won't fire and I have no power-ups yet. I had them when I last played but then everything was working fine.

what is the symbol in the bottom right? if it is a mouse, you have to use the mouse, if it is a key, you use the arrow keys + space bar. you can click on it to switch it. I just noticed it.

Nope, it's a key. Tried changing that back and forth to see if it mattered, but it doesn't. Thanks for trying to help me, though. :)

maybe it is related to the first achievement. have you gone back and talked to the people yet?

I had to clear my cookies to get it to work properly again. Changing browsers didn't work.

Now I don't feel so idiotic for missing that the "key" represented anything functional in the game, because it surely didn't matter. It was a dead space on my game and therefore decorative to my mind. Sometime later it did work for me, after pointed it out to me.

The cannon doesn't work at all with my mouse, even though the game says it should. It works about half the time with my space bar and directional keys. I really hope we don't have to beat the game to proceed with the plot.

Did you click the key in the bottom right so it becomes a mouse?

This game is also being hinky for me. If the game is set to keyboard mode, my canon will rarely start firing right out of the gate. Sometimes if I click into the game a bunch of times it will kick-start my canon but this isn't always the case. Even if my canon is firing, the keyboard commands to arm my power-ups don't work.

The mouse mode works for me, but it isn't very accurate.

when I was playing yesterday unless I clicked into the game my Canon would not fire either, but it seems to be working alright at the moment. (if you have a desktop I HIGHLY recommend the mouse and spacebar tactic. I think it works very well in my opinion.)

I am having a problem that the games I turn in are not registering! I have 8/15 games and when I try to turn in a score it won't work :(

I've been able to fire the canon only once out of five attempts to play with key mode since I'm on a laptop. Going to try again with mouse mode but I know that ain't gonna be pretty. Wish me luck.

Update: The game works fine in mouse mode! And it isn't as unfriendly to laptop users as I thought it would be. It actively tracks the position of your finger on your trackpad and fires at a tap. Some other games like this are dreadful on laptops [cough NEOPETS] because they want you to click and drag in mouse mode. You also don't need the number keys for powerups in mouse mode, just click the power up you want. As this IS a bit clunky I'd suggest only using the healer and the chain-reaction bomb, the other two are not worth the time it takes to activate them.

yes! The first game worked fine for me, but nothing after. I don't understand what the bar at the bottom right is for, either. The one that turns from key to mouse to key again when clicked LOL

Glad I'm not the only one having these problems, I'll have to try the clicking the screen thing again. I swear that's what I've been doing but maybe I'm not actually clicking the game and just the side panel lol.

I probably can't use the trackpad thing though being left-handed

It happens quite a few times with me. Playing it with the mouse doesn't work at all, but sometimes, I can keep hitting the space bar all I want, but it won't shoot. Moving from left to right works, but not shooting. Very annoying.
