I was recently introduced to Folk Metal by a friend, and I love it. More than I have ever loved any other genre of music before.

Ive fallen in love with Finsterforst, Wintersun and Ensiferum. I have always loved celtic music, so I also really enjoy Lorenna McKennitt and Lindsey Sterling.

Anyone have a favorite band? Im on the hunt for more wonderful songs!

Wintersun and Ensiferum are very good; I should really listen to them more. I also like Eluveitie quite a bit; one song called "Inis Mona" sold me on them. Lead singer is a quite growly with his vocals though, so if that doesn't bother you, you'll probably like them.

This is a new genre for me. I'm a heavy celt folk music listener. I'm definitely going to check these bands out!

Celt bands I listen to: Dervish, Old Blind Dogs, Gaelic Storm, The Tossers, Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys, The Chieftains, Young Dubliners, Darby O' Gill, The Pogues.....just to name a few :P
