I dunno if I'm the only one to ever get a year-long ban from the SB (probably, lol), but I was thinking that, rather than bothering the staff with tickets that would flood the system, it could be as simple as adding a timer to the "you are currently banned from the Shout Box" thing. I mean, they do it for day-long offenders, so why not longer than that?

It might be a very minor tweak, but I know it would, at least, help me and others like me out, in the future. :b

I can get behind this. I don't use the SB and I've mellowed out since these days, but I got all the way to a permanent mute on Neopets once (until I filed a ticket with transaction numbers for NC purchases lmfao)

But yeah tangent aside, it's nice to have a timer so I support this

Oy, Neopets. I got the heck out of dodge, before that place completely crumpled to the ground. They were so unfair with their warnings, and if you wanted to talk to a UA, you'd have better luck contacting aliens, before you'd hear a response.

I know, my first ticket was closed after a year with no response. The second one, they had implemented a system where they asked you to list NC purchases and as soon as I did I got an immediate response and an immediate unmute :L

...thread derailing aside, it's nice to be able to keep an eye on it rather than getting a sudden "you're banned for a week" and by the time a week is over forgetting when the heck you got banned in the first place. I don't know how commonplace SB bans are, but it's still nice to have even if they're generally rare

I'd like this, as a widget it would be helpful too. It could be used to count down the days until your pets come out of the resort instead of constantly going back to check on it, or just generally counting down the days until something.

Yes, I like the timer idea! One for the resort would be helpful too. No sites I'm on have anything like that. I'm still on Neo, and never frequented the forums, but I did know it was ridiculously easy to incur a warning. :/

I could get behind a timer on your user dashboard, near the warnings and referrals? It doesn't even have to be live-updating, just something that's calculated once when you visit the page, sort of like the account worth values.

I support a timer for the SB, but also the suggested by Commander5am.
