I would like to make the following suggestion for Random Battle events.

Once in a while Ice King shows up as a random battle event and he is the only one that ever does. I would like to suggest the following:

1. That a battle opponent from a past event shows up as a random event.
2. This opponent could be a low level, mid level or upper level opponent. This would give everyone a chance to battle and it might get more people into the BC.
3. Once you fight and beat the opponent 10 times the opponent would disappear.
4. You would get the normal exp and battle loot from the opponent that you would have won during the original event.
5. If the opponent is from holiday, it should be an opponent that is not to be going re-released for an upcoming holiday.
6. Change the opponents every month.

This might be a fun idea, although this might change the market in the drop prizes quite a bit.

All twenty-three of my pets are battle pets, so I personally wouldn't want it to go away at 10. I didn't even get all my shots in on Ice King before they reset the BC.

Non-battlers already complain about the Ice King event. IF there's more challengers, there'll be a whole flurry of these. Maybe have an option in User Dashboard - Preferences where you could turn events like this off?

Come weigh in on this guys, if you have anything to add as well.

Personally I'm fine with this. And if people don't want the event to show up maybe there could be an item to lock in your inventory lol "battle challenger repellent" if people are that dead set against not wanting the REs or challengers bothering them. :P

That sounds real good to me. I get tired of being beaten by, er, I mean-Beating-the same old challengers every day. A random challenge such as suggests, is a good idea.

or they can ignore it, REs go away after a single refresh.

prizes could be achievement based so they don't deflate too much.

I like new challengers and more variety in random challengers would be nice.

Hmm. I never dreamed people would complain about the ice princess RE. Should have known I suppose but you could always give them the option to be visited by Sebastian instead. ^^

This sounds fun to me! Especially being able to get some of that loot from old opponents that have been gone for a long time! Plus, it would still be hard to get the loot... like, you would still have to get lucky and get that exact challenger RE 5 times in a month (which really comes down to luck).

LOL. How about an "Invisibility Cloak" that is a defensive weapon, tier 1 (if someone really wanted to use it in battle), that you lock in your inventory to hide you from BC challenger REs? XD

Makes sense to me, unless there's none to be found right? Like when you guys brought back the Large Gutting Knife. Don't expect this to happen with /everything/ cause there was some pretty rate loot drops in the past.

Hmm what about this. If you get challenged by a certain challenger via RE let there be a countdown of how long you have till the challenger disappears (for the time being not disappear for good.) OK Lemme explain:

Say you get an RE and are challenged by a new challenger.. let there be a widget for the dashboard (like Oracle quests) it'll say "You've been Challenged by _____" and "You have _____ time left to beat them!" There should be a link to take you to the challenger page like Ice King's RE.

Now during that time you can't get the RE again and no extension on the time to beat this challenger until it shows up again whenever. This frees up the RE chances for something else and if people don't care about the challenges then if they don't have the widget they won't be taunted by anything and can go about their day.

Hope that makes sense.

Wow that is pricey... So definitely something different, but similar... maybe "Cloak of the Weakling" and it is just a blanket cape. :P

so intead of what it is now where you can only beat them once, you can beat them as many times as you can until the timer runs out?

there's always just the option to ignore the REs if you don't plan on fighting them, that is free :P

Yeah a little longer than what Ice King has. It gives people a chance if they wanna get all their wins in at once they have the chance and it frees up their RE chances until the timer is up.

if it's too long it kinda ruins the fun of the random challenger. if you can get all your wins in one RE then what's the point. sure people have more than one battle pet, but I get the current RE daily. if people have a bajillion battle pets, maybe they're just outta luck and not able to fight it with all of their pets. I don't think the site has any obligation to cover people in every situation, especially when they aren't getting inconvenienced in any way by only getting to fight the opponent with 10 of their pets instead of 30 or something like that.

True. I was mostly trying to find a way to make things fair. The timer obviously wouldn't be like an hour or anything 10-15 minutes max.

10-15 minutes may be okay. it's not unfair though if they can't fight with every single one of their pets, sometimes things don't happen the way you want them to, doesn't mean it's not fair, you know? :P
