Hello! I am new to making pet overlays. Here is a test base art for an Aurelian who will be an angelic kumos. After studying other images on Subeta I think I need to fill out the square more and make her head larger. Although I don't want to her to look too cutsie. Maybe curling up the pose a little more like the official angelic kumos art would work better.

Please let me know what I can improve.
I actually really like the way you have her head shaped. I think the right wing looks a little oddly positioned -- like it's sitting right on top of the shoulderblade? I'd play with that a bit.
Beyond that, it doesn't look bad at all!
Thank you for your feedback :) I do see what you mean with the right wing. I'll definitely work that out a bit better.
I'd say it would be good to make the head just a little bit bigger.
As for filling out the square, I wouldn't worry about that - I can always tell when an image has been shaped/sized specifically to fit in a square, and I think it looks awkward. I rather like the more organic shape you've got going on there.
But I'd advise flipping the image, and making sure it looks good in reverse, as well. Small flaws can be caught like that c:
: It looks good! :D Only thing i could probably critique is the right wing's angle, but all in all, it's would make a nice overlay C:
