I'd be surprised to learn this hasn't ever been said before but...
It really bothers me that in the fishing game, the first move is an anchor point when there is already an anchor: the goal. The first move "can't tell you how hot or cold it is from your last move because that's your first move" but if we're playing hot and cold to find a treasure with a predetermined location, the first move IS hot or cold from the goal. Not hotter or colder, but hot or cold. As a kid playing this game and the seeker picked a starting point and asked how warm they were, we could subjectively say "warm" or "cold" or "freezing" and it seems like it's a waste of a first move for the fishing game not to do the same thing. You could say three squares is "warm" and five or six is "cold" and more is "freezing", for example.
Anyway just my two bits on a little thing. Thanks!

How about a webcomic about villains stumbling around redemption arcs? Drop by:

Yeahh I was confused by this last month. http://subeta.net/forums.php/read/834328 I agree the way you described would be more logical but whatever. I've just accepted the lack of sense the way it is now and aimlessly play daily.
I have always agreed with this and thought the phrasing of that first move is odd and confusing at best.
In addition, I'd love to see the game revamped and/or overhauled in general; the art's looking pretty aged and I think the fisher-ontra would look fantastic if he were redrawn to match the new ontra revamp.
Ehh I don't really ever play our fishing game. There are too many squares and not enough guess to ever really get the treasure unless you are just lucky and land on it.
I think it's been brought up recently that the game is going to be overhauled, I really hope so.

The game IS going to be overhauled :)
oh thank god, I gave up a long time ago.
