My fiance and I want to play Terraria together, but the internet is not good enough and one of us will lag.

So i was wondering if anyone knows how to set up a lan game for Terraria (preferably without thrid party programs, but my fiance is paranoid about spyware and viruses)

If both of you have the game over Steam, and you both have the most recent 1.3 version, you can simply invite your fiance to play with you.

If you have the GoG version, you'll have to set up port forwarding which can be messy depending on the router you have.

Personally, I use Evolve to play Terraria with a friend. No spyware, no malware, no viruses. The only thing with Evolve is that sometimes, their servers tend to be a tiny bit full, so you might have to restart Evolve a few times to get it to work. Other than that, it's good.

Edit: NVM, I'm a derp, disregard most of the post. :'D If you want a lan game, Evolve is your best bet.
