I'm getting back into Subeta after... uh, quite a while forgetting that it existed. Years. I know a lot of stuff has been revamped or released since then, and I have a fair bit of disposable sp and a desire to design avatars again.
So, with that in mind, what are your wardrobe staples? Those items that you use for layering nearly all the time, or that you just love the look of, or can't do without. I'm thinking of acquiring a bunch of basic stuff in as many colors as I can, mostly so I don't have to dig through every single item on the site every time I'm looking for one useful thing.
(And, on that note, what are people using to build avatars these days? Arvee/Sofetch isn't where I left it.)
image by I think people are mostly just using the beta wardrobe to test things out now, since you can put on clothes you don't own there (you just can't save your HA with them on).
Ah, okay. I suppose I should take another look at that. Thanks!
image by The light bulbs are pretty good for ambiance/adding a filter. Spells Galore and the Delphi Art Museum a news post or two ago have a bunch of good backdrops, and I like the combat boots. Also body glitters, body blushes, beach plates, and freckle lotions are all pretty common/useful. I'm not sure if much of this fits more "male" HAs though!
For layering in general, there's a thread somewhere in this forum that has a lot of useful combos people have found.
Oh, awesome, thank you! This is an excellent place to start. c: I'll see if I can't track down that thread.
...I do usually have female HAs, but this one's technically a cosplay and I needed something different from what I'd been wearing for the last three years. :P
