So I am going into my first year teaching and I realized that I have JACK SQUAT NOTHING to decorate my classroom's walls with, so I am looking for science art. Since it'll be 9th grade Earth Science, I'm looking for art of geological things, earth processes, earth's structure, space, climate stuff, YOU NAME IT I AM INTERESTED.

I know the market here is very HA/Human centered, but I'd love to see examples of your art. The products I am buying will need to be drawn large enough that I can have them printed for large prints or even posters.

I have 1 bil pure and an asston of items in my shop (and more in my vault that I haven't gotten to yet) to pay with, so be sure to post your price range.

Ohjesusjesusjesus, my two favorite things, science and art. Umm, yeah, I'd really like to draw for you! I can even do...tangible? real-life? ink drawings and mail them to you if you'd like that. Or I can do digital too of course. I don't have examples of my ink drawings online, but I can scan some if you'd like. Digital examples are at my shop (linked in signature) and my DeviantArt. I love love love this project idea, lol.

I like your work (Cute jewelry btw!) TBH since my topic is so broad, I'd be down with you just like... finding inspiration and running with it? If you're not sure (cause like, super broad) where to start, I always love minerals. I just moved and am super broke irl, so I'd love digital cause I'd hate for you to have to pay real money to mail me anything, haha. Just let me know how much you feel is fair :)

I can definitely just 'run with it' lol. I'll draw up a variety of things and you can pick and choose. I have a few ideas in mind. You know those old scientific prints of flowers? What about something like that, but with rocks/minerals instead? Ugh, I can't wait to get home so I can work on this!!

um YES. HELLO I LOVE YOUR WORK. 1) I own a number of your CWs apparently, and 2) love your DA work. Do you have a direction you want to head, or do you want me to give you a like... narrowed down subject and go from there? I am all about letting you run with it if you feel comfortable doing so since this is kind of a "name your price" extravaganza for me haha

omfg I love that idea. YES YES AND YES

it would help if you gave me some ideas to start with, and possibly a DPI resolution and size you want the image in?

OMG YOU ARE SO LUCKY. I DESPERATELY want to become a geologist- or something similar. I love rocks... and to teach!! Though I'm not sure how well Id deal with 9th graders... Anyway, the only rock related thing I really have is a very old painting - in a fuzzy photo- I did for my hs counsiler.

Its been a couple years since I picked up a brush but but I've also training in pen/ink type illustration

I'd be most interested in doing landscapes- I live in Utah, so I'm familiar with some strange geology! We have a GORGEOUS mountain range here, where at one spot the layers are at about a 45 degree angle to the faces, which creates some really amazing mountains!

And if you're interested, I could go collect some specimens- for example about 15 minutes drive from here you can get... I think it's Triasic/Jurassic age ripple marks {sorry, it's late, brain's gone, can't be bothered to remember the name of the formation atm... even if it is a famous one -_-} and some sandstone which you can occasionally find a piece that displays that rule abut how when one formation cuts through another, the formation being cut through is older... the later is harder to find though.

I also have extensive knowledge about/with microcrystaline quartz varieties- though I'm not sure if that'd be any use to you... maybe in showing the kids how beautiful natural things can be? -scratches head-

Also if you're at all interested in the future with display slabs, I'm hoping to get my 20" rock saw going soon.

Hoarding: 2986/??? (turns out I haven't updated in a while. Whoops!) Thank you anon ;_; x10 March 4/21/21 (RIP Storm-buddy the leopard gecko- you lived a great 16.5 years.)

You know, I have like zero experience with what DPI would be needed to print the image. Preferably I was hoping to take it to like a kinkos and have them print it as big as possible (since classroom walls are so big). I want to be able to print it at LEAST as big as an 8x10, but I have really no clue what that is in like... computer speak, haha. As for subject, I am all about the planets, about volcanoes, about different minerals (like, olivine is my favorite, followed by a mineral called Wulfenite, then realgar, love the shape of quartz), I looove geodes. Or even if you just gently touch on the Earth Sciences thing, they don't all have to be like... diagrams. They can be just like beautiful pictures of mountains or beaches, or really anything.

  1. HELLS YES. Pursue the geosciences. You don't have to teach, though there are geology classes you can teach higher grade levels, or like environmental science. Or if you get your masters/phd you could teach college! That's just not for me (at least not yet)

  2. Kids LOVE looking at rocks and beautiful things, ESPECIALLY display slabs. Once I actually START working and get on my feet financially, I would be super duper interested in that.

  3. I would love landscapes. Utah was beautiful the last time I drove through. I drove from the top to the bottom, and where the top was pretty boring, as we got further and further south it got more and more interesting. I am all about it. RUN WITH THIS
