Hey all! I'm Shaedi. waves I'm 24, I've been here for a few days now, came over when i saw people on the neoboards (yes really, on the neoboards) talking about other pet sites due to the most recent issue, 'hacking', though nobody knows for sure if it was actually a hacking at this point or a server glitch since Jumpstart hasn't informed us of anything. Subeta was being talked about more than others so i thought i'd come check it out!

So far i really like it, its MUCH easier to make sP than NP, by far. But with that being said, things like potions and elixirs are more expensive here than paint brushes on Neo, by a lot. But the earning/spending rate is about even from what im seeing.

Everyone is so nice here, so far nicer than over on neo. They were saying the crowd here could be a bit 'snobbish' though i haven't seen that at all! I've had 2 people here give me welcome presents already! I wish they werent anonymous so I could thank them, but maybe they'll read this post, "Thank you whoever you are! I loved my gifts!" :)

I still love neo very much, i think it will always be my main pet site, unfortunately though the crowd is thinning way out there and its extremely hard to get ahead now because of that! crosses fingers for JS to pull thru I'm known by the same name on neo if anyone would like to friend me there as well.

I love all of the different pets and art here on Subeta! Its unique and beautiful! I also love that this is geared towards a more mature user base (wish neo would learn its mostly adults there). It's nice to be able to post on the forums and not worry about saying the name neopets, or even tumblr!

Ok, so a little about me now.

• I LOVE rainbows, especially rainbows on black, which would make my favorite pet color Blacklight! So pretty! It's the first thing im saving up for to use on Sighla.
• I also love anything Piratey! ARRR! (my entire kitchen is done in pirate stuff!)
• I love anything kind of dark faerie/gothic/cyber goth (NOT emo..please for goodness sakes, no emo)
• I have 4 kitties & my room mate has one as well :) i love them all dearly! They're like my little furry children.
• I listen to all kinds of music, when im driving its mostly rap/underground rap/rock. When im at home its mostly more chill stuff like Marley (any of them), Celtic music, & im a bit obsessed with the hand drum (if you dont know what that is, check out Daniel Waples on Youtube, its beautiful!)
• I play the Djembe and go to a few music festivals each year, you could say im a tiny bit of everything mixed, a little gothic, a little hippie, a little juggalo, a little raver, and 99% just myself!

Oooh, it seems like quite a few neo users are making their transition to subeta as a result of the recent events. I used neopets a couple years ago, but came over here, after realizing how much more comfortable I felt here. It's nice how Subeta is geared towards the more mature - it allows for more in-depth discussions among other things. Additionally, the admin are very accessible and kind, which makes it even easier to get around! :)

Kittiessss. I had a cat when I was younger; however, she's no longer with us. I have a rottweiler now. (Too bad the cat was more a bully than he is ahah)

Yes, tons of neo users are leaving due to jumpstart not communicating with us about anything.

There doesnt seem to be nearly as much to do here as there is on neo, though im still totally a newbie and have no idea even how to navigate around the site very well yet! lol.

I do like that the admin are reachable here, thats a major plus, that word on neo is almost non existent. People wait YEARS to get wrongly frozen accounts back...

Also, i cant for the life of me get my hair to show up on my avatar, NOTHING i do is helping, ive tried using beta wardrobe, tried using regular wardrobe, tried saving/not saving doing the same things 20 times because i cant get it to work, it wont even show up on my layers no matter what i try... im terribly sad about that, any suggestions?

welcome to Subeta! i migrated from neopets years ago and never felt like going back. usually people focusing on doing quests and save up for all their passions they find on Subeta. or battling/pets or whatever they like. about hair problem, have you tried going to hair salon with your avatar? you can go there if you click on wardrobe. about Subeta players is snobbish? never noticed. it's more friendlier and less snobbish than the neopets players anyway.

thanks for the hair tip! I got t figured out, actually had to remove everything and start over, then select one of my "saved" outfits for the hair layer to actually show up.

I've added a bunch of useful stuff to my sidebar, it does make it easier!

& I haven't noticed anyone being snobbish here either! Everyone here seems way nicer than neo, for sure! Lots of people on neo are rude just because they can be! It's terrible!

I know what you mean, thats why I left Neopets many years ago. I wanted a good PET site with active admins, friendly forum players, I understand it can be a little heated in a discussion when two different opinions Clash but as long as you keep your head straight and not start being rude its fine with me. not to mention you are supposed to follow rules here so you wont get 5 warnings and banned for good. the good thing with subeta is that you are only allowed to have one account and that makes you more cautious when you post things on the forums.

one good thing with subeta is that you can buy PET slots so some PET lovers have around 20 something pets. i rather keep it to 4 and one lab pet. Subetalodge is a subeta fan site which is very useful. i use it to see all colors the pets can be, minion matcher, items database and much more.

yes, i love that you can have so many pets with one account, that rocks! I also love that i dont have to make multiple accounts just to have more pets, (in terms of neo thats what you have to do, so you end up switching back and forth a lot), Also the 'only one account' thing is useful in getting to know people instead of getting to know someone and all 4 of their other side accounts. lol.

I love neo, i do, but ill tell ya, i just went over there for a bit today and last night, posted on the boards and as per usual people were rude, though it bothered me more this time because people here have been sooooo nice! I've gotten several anonymous gifts, worth way more than anyone has ever given me on neo, by far. I wish i could thank all of these anonymous amazing people! Also, thats why im here now instead of on neo, the community its just SO kind and welcoming! :D

I think everyone finds their little nook here! For me, I enjoy playing around with the avatars, as well as simply chatting with my friends. Others enjoy battling or collecting. It's all up to you! :)

And yeppp! I was thankfully able to get my frozen account back within about two weeks, but I forgot the information again, so I just kinda stay away LOL.

Welcome and Hello, I have been here for about 3/4 of a year. I was seeking out Neopets alternatives and checked out many and Subeta is the best. The others I don't bother with so, if you're investigating this as well, don't bother because this is all you'll need. I am socially awkward but trying to not be so. I am probably 1 of the oldest here at 53, semi-retired. I have 5 cats and 1 dog. I live in Atlanta GA. I have a large scarab tattoo on my ankle. Game of Thrones is the best show for me right now. I am a consIpiracy theory enthusiast. I mostly watch History/Discovery channel shows if I watch anything.
