Since the site had to be manually reset the other night, there has been no "new news" at midnight. This feature was nice since it told me when everything reset. If this could get fixed, I'd be happy. if this was a deliberate change, please move this to revamp feedback so I can complain about it. ;)

Yes, there hasn't been the new news lately at midnight. I want it back.

Pretty sure he meant the notice is missing. I haven't been able to be on at midnight because I work weekends though so I haven't seen it myself

The news had a post at either 12:03 or 12:04 last night, so it wasn't obvious

It's easy to do though, people complain about this fairly frequently (about the new news at midnight) so you probably just skimmed the post :p

I as well noticed that there wasn't actually a new news last night until we actually got that post about the chance bag.

Not sure if we got the new news today because it is fixed or because of the pet spotlight.

No New News bar at rollover, definitely sure of this.

you get it on nights where there's a spotlight. I don't actually remember last night specifically, but I don't think I got one.

Kind of on subject, kind of off.. I actually don't like getting a news alert when there isn't any news. The potion lottery isn't really news, it's a side blurb, and isn't in the main topics. I hate getting a news alert and going to the home page and finding out there isn't any news. I wish there was a ping group or widget for people who wanted a reset alert so it wouldn't affect the top news link alert. :)

Amber mentioned to me before that on days that aren't spotlight, they usually have to do a post to kick the "new news" announcement into happening now.

probably something they did automatically though. when the chron died, whatever thing they had scheduled to do this stopped working I guess.

ping group would be okay except they don't really work 100% of the time.

I guess no one here remembers when recycle beast asking for new items was news?

Honestly I just refresh on the RB items page until it redirects me back to his main page, then I know he is taking new items :x
