I came from neopets where it was forbidden to ask for payment for art. Now I'm really confused I have so many questions. 1)How do you set up an art shop and how does that work? 2)Can I charge for in game currency or real currency? 3)Are there any strict rules on this I should know? 4)Is this just selling custom pets or an actual picture you draw? Can you take requests and have people pay you to get them?

I'm seriously so confused right now. I just joined last week so I'm a newbie, please help me out?

it's pretty simple, take a look around at people's shops. but yeah, you just open a thread, like this one, show your examples and prices. you can offer whatever you feel comfortable doing, be it full finished pieces or headshot sketches. so yeah, you can draw whatever, not just custom pets.

as for payment, you can charge in real currency, as long as you at least have one option for in-site currency. also, you can only have one thread in the art market, so you're gonna have to ask them to lock this up, i believe, unless they move it to the help forum first. (also, when you do open your thread, you might want to ping artsale - just put "# artsale", without the space and commas)
