Well, I finally mustered up the courage to post on here, I've sort of been putting off my introduction. I've officially been here for two weeks, and have been loving every second of it. I found out about Subeta from somebody on Neopets. And when I first joined I was amazed by how welcoming everybody was.. Anyways, enough about my lovely experience.

Umm.. I guess I'll describe myself? (RANT MODE WARNING)

I'm a high school graduate planning on going into college in the fall, I plan to major in digital media. I'm interested in many different things. For one I really love reading. That pretty much engulfs my free time when I'm not online, though sometimes I will read a lot online too! Last year I got into writing, which is another interest of mine, Though, at the moment my brain is in the mode of writers block. Drawing is also an interest of mine, I've been doing it since I was very young and to this day that is one of the ways I like to spend my free time. Even though I don't think I'm very good at it.. (Working on that.)

Anyways, enough about myself. I want to know if you guys have any advice for newer players? I think I've got the basics of Subeta down already, but I just want to know if there's anything else special I should do or consider not doing. For example: the omen islands. Is that really worth it??

For the Omen Islands, I got the full map to get its access a while ago but I'll try to help :

*1/ I don't know if this has been revamped but before you could do Carl's quests only if you had unlocked the map (so you can let me know if you can quest for him, I have no idea now it is appearing on the Quests widget). He is pretty nice. You usually get your money paid back on the items you spent for him and he sometimes even gives you Subeautique items !

*2/ Adding to that, you can have the access to a vending machine called Ocean Depths. It basically takes items from a lot of different shops but in my opinion, it is not worth it. You'll mainly get cheap clothing. I guess people are vending from this machine because you can get as a special prize the which is a Legendary Weapon - but you get to be lucky. Either people resell it, or keep it for two purposes : there is an achievement for getting all the Legendary Weapons in your wardrobe ; and there is an achievement for getting all the Legendary COMBOS in your wardrobe so if people want the Legendary combinaisons, they need that weapon to create another one. So yeah, first point : you need to get lucky to vend that weapon, and secondly, because it is expensive, you need to get lucky to sell it so I am not even thinking about vending from OD.

Here is the link of the Vending Guide on Subetalodge. Personally, I vend DAILY at the Celebration Gift vending machine because you get many food items. They sell easily because they are often asked for questing by Carl or Pete, so you get money quickly thanks to that. Otherwise, there is Prize Get where you vend a lot of weapons. Maleria asks for weapons during her quests so they usually sell very quickly and easily as well. :)

*3/ And finally, if you want an Hydrus pet (list here), you get to have the access of the Omen Islands. This colour is only available by completing one quest of Merana. She is a mermaid goddess or some kind of thing like that lol. Once you finish the quest, she'll "curse" one of your pets. I did that a year or two ago so I am not sure but I think it is the active pet (or maybe she asks you to choose) so be careful :) Otherwise you can have an Hydrus pet by using a on the pet which is concerned. It is a potion that turns your pet in any colour you want to but it is pricey !

So now you've got some ideas about what you can do in the Omen Islands, maybe you can choose in consequences. :P

No problem. You still can randomly finding the pieces so with the time, you might get it in the end without even buying it. I don't know, it is just about luck. :P
