So... I'm drawing in a new style. Here's the first drawing in this new style:

I'm planning on selling art like this to people. I plan to do Paypal, CSC, and sP
How much would be fair to charge for something of this scale and detail? I'm only referring to the person, as the background will be an additional charge to do.
I need help to figure out how to convert the Paypal/CSC into a fair sP amount as well, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks~!
I feel it could depend on how much time you put into a painting. I haven't been here long enough or done enough commission work to know about prices so I wouldn't know exactly but if you give me a time, it would help give me more of an idea what your prices might be. :)
Just as Forgetmeow said, the time you spent in a drawing is really important to determine the prize.
Many artists price their art per hour spent. Some people charge $3/hour; others charge minimum wage/hour (around $7.25).
Never underprice yourself! :o
See, that's where the problem is... if I charged per hour, I'd never get commissioned. I'm not fast at digital art since I try to make my stuff the highest quality I possibly can, so I tend to take well over 8 hours (separated on multiple days) to get each piece done in a way I can be proud of :/
So me requiring an actual time to determine a price is... not exactly helpful, if I actually want people to buy my work
Well, it is a problem indeed! I wouldn't charge per hour either as my drawings take too much time sometimes.
You could try checking every single Art Shop and compare them to your art. If someone has a style that resembles yours, then you can use their prices as a reference; it's hard to price at the beginning, but it will be easier as you get more commissions.
