I wanted 10 pet slots. A kind user gifted me a 1 week gold medal and I activated it. I wanted to adopt 5 pets from the pound place but when I went to adopt it said my account had to be 2 weeks old. I could of sworn it said one week before... argh! So now I have to wait 4 days to adopt from the pound. I am seriously hating myself...

Ouch, sorry to hear that! ;o; I always thought the adoption rules are a bit too strict. Especially when adopting Pets. A 2 week ban for adopting out, ok- to avoid the Pound being too cluutered with badly named Pets someone created doing the Tutorial, but a 2 week wait time to adopt Pets? Not sure how to think of that, personally. Others may have different views, but I don't like this rule.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you that your desired Pet is still there in 4 days. :(

Yeah, thanks... it doesn't make much sense to me either.

It's to keep new users from adopting a pet with some (potentially dumb) name then abandoning them then repeating the process. At least that's what I always got from it. BUT! The good news is that those slots don't just up and vanish without a GA.

Yeah in 3 days I'm heading to the adopt r us place. Don't worry I'm name picky so I'm not going to adopt anything with a dumb name anyway. I still think two weeks is a bit much. You can't even abandon a pet unless your account is a month old so I don't really get it...
