I drew my pet for the first time. I plan on maybe finding a scanner to get a better image and then maybe finding a way to get rid of the back ground, but here is what I have now. Does anyone have any suggestions/critiques for future drawings? I hope to improve the most I can, so any advise is fantastic, and will be very appreciated. I used gel pens and crayola colored pencils. :)

It's rather easy to remove the white background from an image with PS/Corel/any creation program really! Why don't you give a try on his fullbody next time? I'm sure it'll be more challenging. I don't have a lot of experience with traditional coloring, but I'd advise using different shades of the same color [ like a lighter blue for bright areas and a darker one for shadow areas) to make a more dynamic drawing, or maybe if you're feeling bold, using different colors as shadow and light [ purple for shadow and yellow for light, for example ] just to see how it goes. Experiment with different things, is the best advice I can give xD
