Hello! My name is Amme, and you can call me that or Subari (since my avatar is modeled after that character). I'm an animation and illustration student in New York State. I enjoy writing, drinking coffee, and writing magic spells. I've been on Neopets for over a decade so it was simple to understand the avatar things, but I need a bit of help in some areas!

• Battling. How is this done? I walked blind through a bit of scroll making but I'm still lost.
• How does one achieve a Galactic pet? I created Lumiera with the intention of making her Galactic.

Finally, do you have any general tips for a newbie?

Hi! Welcome to the site. :) I love your avatar!

You can make a galactic pet on the 6th and 7th of every month... so in just a few days from now. You go to the Coda Caves (it's in the bottom right corner of the explore map) and visit Itallo. You hand him the gems he asks for and your pet gets turned galactic.

For battling, I'd suggest reading this stuff. It's not quite the same as the neopets BD, so it takes some getting used to. The tiered weapons are probably the biggest difference between the two, but you get the hang of it easily enough.

It's definitely worth it. Training your pet is so easy and cheap on this site... it takes an hour and around 3000 sP to raise my pet's stats by 1 (or more), not 6 hours and red codestones inflated to a zillion NP like it does on neo. You really have nothing to lose by training your pet, and it gives you achievements as well. :)

You can also raise your pet's stats with EXP (here that you gain from battling, kind of like in a RPG. I think the easiest way to start battling is probably to do the Battle Quests... that's how I started out, anyway. (And you get achievements for it, too!) You can get some nice items as rewards with the more difficult challengers, but it takes a while to get on their level. :)

Oh, excellent! I know in Goatlings it's a very very easy battle system but it caps pretty quickly (of course, it's a cutesy goat pet site, so I shouldn't expect otherwise LOL). I'd like an involved one! Thank you!
