Hey everyone,
I tried to make a CW dress, henna tattoos and a body suit with no experience in either drawing CW clothing nor using a paint tool program. So I am very new at this! C: I want to know what you think, help me in what I should change and if you think people would be interested in it ^-^ Please tell me if you like the items or not, then I know what people actually want.

You're Godly at making dresses, have a moment to help this loverly user?
Hi there! I saw post on this from my friend feed so I decided to give it a go LOL! (Fair warning, when I give critique I sometimes sound stern, but I don't mean it! I just wanna make sure I get all my words out LOL)
Anyways - this is really cute so far! It's a little funky and unique - I love that, but keep in mind that because it is so unique it might be a little hard to fill more than one batch! (Personally I'd love it if you separated the top from the bottom because it almost looks like two separate items, and the top looks a bit more successful style-wise to me! But that's just me! I'd love the top to wear with shorts or pants.)
Technique-wise, I think you're REALLY close to it being accepted right off the bat, but there are a couple of things I'd tweak before you submit:
• Your shading, particularly on the skirt part, is very soft. You want more of a hard line to the shading, so it's in a cel-shaded style. The goal with CWs is basically do emulate the official artwork on the site! • The overlay doesn't really have a light source - you want the light source to be from our left to our right, as it is on the base HA :) • The fact that the skirt is so floaty doesn't QUITE work at this length. You might want to either make the skirt part a bit longer, OR add some lines to make it a bit pleated so it makes sense for the dress to be floaty :) • Though aesthetically I think it works fine, the fact that the entire back part of the skirt is black might make it get denied - they like to see a clear outline versus color and shading. I'd make the back dark gray instead, or make it the same color as the front of the skirt! • Your CI looks pretty great overall, but it also should be cel-shaded, and it also needs some more shading! :)
Thanks for your post!! C:
Oh my!! Thank you for the feedback <3
I tried to make the changes you have mentioned, I do not know if I understood you right, but I did my best :P I changed the shadings, more hard lines. It is difficult to see the shadings very well on the right side of the dress since the dress has no solid colour. I hope you can see them a little bit better now ^-^ I also added some lines at the bottom of the dress and changed the inner colour at the backside. I split the dress in two as you suggested, though I made it possible to still combine them if there is interest in both of them. Even slight changes in the CI.
New version
And I also made a totally different CW item. Henna tattoo, unfortunately most of the lines lost quality when I reduced the size :( Hopefully it is still good enough. I have made it full body and just the lose parts (arms, hands, feet, lower legs, upper legs and core) C:
Henna tattoos
Thanks for being so honest!! I really need the comments to improve the CW I make ^-^

hi again! on second thought, i think the pleating lines may not be necessary after all - i think it looked better before! however, the other changes look great. it may need a few more layers of shading, even when there's pattern (you can use an opaque or multiply layer!). i think it looks fine now, but staff always requires a certain amount of layers of shading on things u_u (that's the thing my items get denied for!) it looks great separate too btw, and I like they they both work together now! ^_^ if/when you release it, i'd love a slot on the top :)
and i LOVE that henna!!!!! flawless, no critique at all! :) i think it resized just fine imo.
-looking at your new edit- as said, i don't think you need the pleated lines there but if at all they can be thinner/grey colored so it doesn't stand out so much against the white color. i'd also say to add more layers of shading for both the top and skirt; as of now it just looks like 1 layer of shading on the skirt and the top just looks flat black with a little highlight on the left side. the CI should also look more cel shaded; especially the white fabric part sticks out as soft shaded atm!
great start though! c: i think the henna looks good, though it is a bit unclear on the calves and wrist, i'm not sure if it's enough to get denied or not ;o
@ dollipop @ Violin Thank you both for helping me ^-^
I gave the dress a second try. I have added more shadings and removed the lines at the bottom again. I made the top slightly lighter so that the shadings would be more visible.
Dress V3
If there is enough interest in the henna I can give it a try. If so should I do one part or the complete body? Which one would you rather like? Unfortunately I cannot keep the lines sharp, see the loss in quality especially in the forearms and the legs :C
Henna quality loss :(

pops in when they see the henna I'm loving the design on that! Unfortunately with how small and detailed the design is you're going to always have some quality loss...but I think it looks fine. I cannot say for sure whether or not it'd be accepted, however. My only suggestion if you'd like stronger line is to simplify your design and thicken your lines very very slightly. (it also depends on what program you're using, photoshop seems to handle resizing a lot better then say krita or gimp).
[ Cleared by staff. Combined height may not exceed 325 pixels. ]
[-Ryuga] Thank you!!! C: I am trying to get a photoshop program ^-^ I hope the quality will be better when reducing the image compared to paint tool sai (thanks for the advice). Otherwise I can try thickening the line little bit.

Ah you have so many great ideas! I did not get the cwidea ping, maybe I can try to ping for you... # cwidea
Guys can you let know if you would be interested in something she has in mind, she always is open for critics and improvement points! C:
My CW thread ❤️
Thanks, hun ![]()
Thank you so much!! ^-^ Which part do you prefer the most or just the full body? C:

Beautiful all together. Besides that, feet ones. :-)

Those CWs are super cute. I love the dress and the bodysuit.
As for the henna, it's adorable but I don't think those CIs would be accepted as they seem more like a concept than a concrete idea. You could just do the different body parts with the henna on them (without the temple-shaped border thing) so basically mannequins with the henna on them. Though they look a bit flat so definitely would need several layers of shade on the mannequins. Though if you really like the idea of the temple-shaped border you could draw them as fliers which might work.
Thanks :D
Thank you!!!
And I can try changing the CI's and see how it will work out.

I'm in love with the body suit (would definitely definitely get a slot on it) and also all the henna tattoos!
I would love to be pinged when you release the shirt, skirt, and bodysuit <3
Thank you both for the posts!! :D I will do my best to get them on the site if there is enough interest C: I will let you know when I try to release them! ^-^
