Our Lost Password page has been neglected for a long time, and got a few updates today, and a few more coming later today.

1. It now takes an email instead of a username. A lot of users coming back from years ago might have had their username taken, or have just completely forgotten it. No more!
2. It's not just a box with a mysterious "step3" button anymore, but has actual formatting!

The updates coming later include a "what is my username" box for just getting your username, and a nicer formatted email. Right now it's just a bunch of text, yikes.

Sad we never got to figure out what step 3 was though, plot worthy mystery.

This is a pretty good update. I remember when a friend of mine lost her username a few months ago she had to contact admin via email and then wait a few days before she could start playing. Nice step forward for better user experience.

Thanks for this, I agree in thinking that it will be easier for really really old players to come back. I know I've signed up for websites and then tried to come back to them and had no clue as to what my UN was, and being able to input your email help TONS.

I noticed the Subeta front page has a link to the lost password/user or something similar. Maybe put the link below the log in button instead?

So this option is now located on the main login page? I saw lost password/username located near user login box. Just making sure, I know buggin toooo much, but if I couldnt get back onto subeta I would be greatly disappointed. Plz Ping!

can this information be added to the: Welcome To Subeta and Welcome Board Rules for new players? Not new, but just wanting to help newcomers.

I've never had to use this option but email makes more sense. However, maybe having the option of either username or email because people change their email all the time.
