Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by! I'll cut straight to it: I'm not new to art. I've been doing this a couple years, but I'm worried that my style has outgrown my prices. I already felt as if I was aiming too low, because I was a part of a mostly-canine-based character site. Being a human artist (who really doesn't like to draw animals), it was really hard to get any attention, so I made my prices low enough so that people would bite. Even then, it's hard to make a name for yourself when you aren't into paws and muzzles.
So I'd just like some second opinions on my prices. Also, I'm very new to the conversion rates of sP and CSC to USD, so any advice on that is really welcomed! From what I've sort of gathered, the conversion is like 50k sP = $1 = 100 CSC? Tell me if I'm wrong!
Chibis

Right now, I'm charging $2 for something like this, with an added character being an extra dollar.
Busts

$4, added character +$1
Reference Sheets
I have three types of references, all priced differently. I'm almost POSITIVE I'm pricing these too low.
Basic Reference - X - $5
Standard Reference - X - $6
Complex Reference - X - $7
Large Art
I'm not totally comfortable offering these yet, but they are in my commissions, and I might as well get them priced.
X - $20
Again, thank you for looking, and any feedback is welcomed! <3
Actually it's 5 million to 100 CSC! Search up a 100 Credit Gift Card and the price that turns up would be your conversion.
Also a small group of people value the real dollar lower than 100 CSC because they much rather have less dollars than more of a currency that can't be used to buy food. Like 100 CSC to USD 0.75 or something. But most people value it on the 1-100 thing.
I can't help you to price, but I hope that clears something up at least c:

You seem to be way undervaluing your art! I've seen art in similar styles go for way higher. Especially the large piece. The large piece I'd say looks to be at least $30 dollars worth of work for how detailed it is, imo. This might help though, since I have difficulty pricing my own art as well. Just download the calculator, work on a certain style nonstop and you can get a good grasp of around where to charge. :> Your art is pretty lovely-- I'd hate to see it go for dirt cheap. You might have to adjust prices to sell on Subeta, because artists can have a pretty bad tendency of selling for practically pennies and it alters what people expect to pay, but I definitely think you should up your prices a bit.
Oh my gosh! Thank you so much 😠that is so very helpful! I'll be sure to test it out! I just love how helpful everyone is here â¤ï¸ I would never get this kind of help on my other sites!
You're welcome haha! I still have to properly price my art myself, as I'm still running off pretty old figures, but that calculator's been pretty helpful for making me realize how much work I'm putting into something. :x It's a shame that most sites you can find to sell art on have trouble with undervaluing art. I hope this helps you find a price you're happy with! c: Subeta can be pretty helpful-- if you have any more you're always welcome to ask me!
