Hi there, I'm Lee!

I had an urge to start playing a virtual pet game after seeing the neopets debacle. I'm very impressed so far!! The art on the website is so gorgeous.

I use they/their pronouns and I'm huge into nature and video games. Hope to meet some cool people!!

Hey! Welcome to Subeta! Although I'm not sure I'm the most qualified person since I just came back from a suuuuper long hiatus haha;;. It looks like that neopets fiasco really brought a lot of people over - that's actually the reason why I came back to Subeta!

Anyway, it's nice to meet you and what kind of video games are you into? Personally I'm fond of JRPGs and indie games.

, Nice to meet you too!

I'm really interested in a lot of different kinds of games, but I usually find that indie games have the most interesting experiences, as well as a short play time. I don't usually have the time to sink hours on hours into a game, so it's a nice middle ground.

But, after getting out of school as well as having a job with few hours, I've been playing a lot of fallout 3.

Thank you!! :^) It's a bit of a toss up, but Tales of Symphonia is my all time favorite, I've played it multiple times after watching my sister play it when I was young. The Mass Effect trilogy as well as the Ace Attorney series are up there as well.

What about you?

The Ace Attorney series is hilariously amazing, and I honestly can't wait for the next one to come out(that prosecutor though)! I recently bought Fallout 3 and I've been meaning to play it but I just haven't gotten around to it...What do you think of it so far?

It's pretty good, the worldbuilding and the story elements are fantastic but, the combat leaves a whole lot to be desired. The difficulty curve is decent at the beginning, but there are just not too many weapons so the difficulty levels off pretty early on in-game.

It looks like Fallout 4 is going to solve a lot of these issues w better combat/weapon customization though.

What JRPGs do you like?

At the moment I'm pretty invested in Persona 3. I also played Persona 4, which was a fantastic game. I also really like the Mario RPGs that are out? And the Earthbound series probably tops my list as one of the best RPGs I've ever played. I never managed to get myself into Final Fantasy, but I do really like the Kingdom Hearts series as well.

I had borrowed Persona 3 from a friend a few months ago, but it was just such a long game that I gave up on it. Mario RPGs are fantastic, I probably prefer them to the platformers tbh. The Paper Mario franchise is one of my all time favorites, but the Mario & Luigi games are great too.

I could never get into Final Fantasy either, and I think part of that is because I hate the mechanic of random encounters. I just hate the feeling of trying to move on an overworld map and constantly having to stop and battle.

Yeah, Persona 3 is quite a grind, and Tartarus does feel like it drags a lot. The first time I played I actually quit for a while. I played Persona 4 first, which I think feels a lot better in terms of having dungeons that aren't 5000000+ floors. I've actually never played Paper Mario before but I did snag one for the WiiU virtual console before Club Nintendo closed.

And yeah, I totally feel you on the random encounters thing. I used to be really into the whole random deal but now it's really tedious. I'll still power through the game if it gives me an option to do auto-battle though.

God, I'm just remembering the Tartarus bosses, those were a pain. How anyone can beat those without looking at a guide is beyond me.

There's something about Paper Mario, as well as the Mario RPGs in general that have this really interesting humor and style to them? + In Paper Mario, in the N64 and GameCube games you do this cool recon work as Princess Peach, which were some of my favorite parts of those games.
