Nine black lives were lost less than 24 hours ago due to a racist hate crime. Lets show our respects by honoring the victims and the black community with a tribute item.

This seems kinda... tasteless. Honestly, I never liked the tribute items for deaths and disasters; it comes across as kinda ham-fisted and out-of-place in a lighthearted pet site full of cute little monsters. Here's a cutesy-wootsy rabbit made of candyfloss, oh, and here's a wearable necklace in memory of the 9/11 victims? It's very... I don't know how else to say it but off-note. Like the old cartoon PSAs about drugs and things they used to have? Sonic sayz that touching underage kids is bad? I don't know where I'm going with this, to be honest. I'm sure I had a point when I started out.

While it was tragic, I don't think Subeta should be making these kinds of items. I know they have in the past and it's kinda...ehh sweet but uncomfortable. If they started doing this, then where wold it stop? People would want a tribute item for every horrid thing that happened, which is impossible.

Also those kind of incidents get pretty political which has no place on Subeta in my opinion.

I believe it has been said at some point that the staff doesn't take suggestions considering tributes. It's completely their decision.

Absolutely not.

Its not tasteless, they've definitely done tributes for things like this before. Sandy Hook. Columbine Anniversary. Those are both events that received tributes.

But it has been said that the artists decide to make tributes about events if it speaks to them in a certain way. That's not to say they don't care if they don't make one.
