so, i know for a lot of people, $50 is a pretty good max amount to spend at one time on CSC. and if you really want 10-20k CSC at once, it's not difficult to click the button 2-4 times. but i think it could be nice to allow people who have a little (or a lot haha) extra cash to throw around to buy more CSC in one go, so maybe the cash shop could have a $100 or $200 option as well? or maybe have it so that if you want to buy more than $50 worth of CSC, you can enter a dollar amount of your own choosing (maybe have it set so that you can only enter multiples of five or ten). like maybe, under all the existing options, there could be a link that says, "want even more CSC?" and clicking that link could bring you to a page where you can enter the cash amount exceeding $50 that you want to pay? idk, i guess it's not really necessary but it could make things slightly more convenient for some users.
I could see this being useful for people who don't want to save their information with Stripe. I'm not sure how complicated it is or if you can save anything to make it easier to check out with Paypal either, but if not then it could be useful for those people too
It would be useful because all transactions are so slow. Stripe can take up to 15 min to deliver and with PayPal you have get redirected to another site.
I've bought a few hundred dollars worth a few times and it takes at least 15-30 min.
A 100 USD option would get rid of a lot of clicking.
Which is irrelevant, really. You either have it or you don't, and if you don't it won't affect you at all.
We can't allow these big of charges for chargeback reasons. It's a lot harder for you to spend $50 ten times and then do a charge back on all of them and reason that it was an accident (and a lot harder to prove it to your provider) than just spending $100 or $250 one time.
Unfortunately fraud is a real thing we have to deal with :/

I understand the fraud issue but I can also see how it would be a deterrent to some people to have to buy multiple times $50. What a hassle really. Could there be some kind of tiers for that ?
As in if you follow a few requirements like
2 year old account & $500 spent in the CS overall : Can buy $100 at a time 3 y/o acc & $1000 spent in the CS : Up to $150 at a time 5 y/o acc & $1500 spent in the CS : Up to $250 at a time
or some other loyalty treatment thing ? Surely that would lower the chargeback attempts. Afaik people can chageback on $50 and less as well, but they will be less likely as they get more loyal. These would be completly hidden/non-public informations

Yes, I like your idea... I think that would definitely work in favor of the loyal csc buyers who don't want to subscribe with their information. As for myself/a user who's account is under 2 years, I wouldn't mind building my csc-buying loyalty up like that at all. Seems fair.
I think 's idea is realistic enough to work. Would definitely help me!

This seems like an excellent idea!
Except that even older accounts can be hacked. If that happened it wouldn't matter how old the person's account was, the original difficulty would still be there.
Yeah this is a valid issue with the idea.

I don't see how that's relevant. In theory, any account can be hacked. Should we release no feature ever because of that ?
I don't know why someone would go to the trouble of hacking an old account that happens to qualify, a.k.a has purchased $1K+ of CSC and is inactive, only to buy $150 worth of CSC, have it charge back, and instantly end up frozen ? What did that get them ?
Plus, if the hacking of accounts was that much of a problem, we'd clearly be having a lot more issues than we are having now.

I was referencing 's reason for it. It seemed valid to me. Not a reason to not have more perks or find another way to make it work of course. I think you would have been better off pinging him xD
Personally I think it would be much easier to buy in bulk when it's needed. :) I was mostly playing devil's advocate haha. I mean if that is the one straight up, only reason for not doing it, then you would need to find a more solid argument. Especially if they are adamant that the reason is 100% valid. I wonder if there is a precedent and that is why? If an account's never been hacked and had csc bought on it before I could understand that the charge-back fee reason might seem silly. But if it has (frequently?) then I suppose it would have more basis. It would be interesting to find out.
I did ping him. I think charge-back is something that just happens for anyone that has an online business and that you can't avoid 100%. I know of a precedent on a very large amount like $800 but that was eventually cleared I think
