Hello, my name is Anastasia and I'm working for a group/site called Diva, focused on human avatar challenges and games Official Thread Is Here ^All about us, please give it a read :)

We are short on artists so I hope it is okay to post here (since it is subeta related.) Looking for some volunteers artists ^_^~

We have a schedule and a timetable, but it's very relaxed. However if you are busy with life and cannot be on, it's appreciated that you would alert us first.

How things work ~There would be only 10 challenges per month, so we only need 10 sets of trophies to be made. ~The assignments will be given equally. (for examples if we have 5 artists, each person would get 2 per month)

You would be required to add decorations on premade trophy bases like the examples below

bases preview

Examples Basically, just make trophies that matches with the challenge theme (which we will give you more information if you are interested)

~There will be 3 trophies for each challenge, and it is your duty to create them ~For each theme (3 trophies: gold, silver, bronze), we pay 200CSC ~The more you work, the more you get paid ~They do not have to be super detailed. It can be simple as long as it fits the theme. ~Payments are delivered on the 7th of each month ~You will need to create an account on Diva, but it's okay if you do not want to participate in challenges. Your work is to create arts only.

Ping me and post examples if you are interested 8D We are not very picky overall so don't be afraid c:

Hey guys I know this thread isn't really 'matching avatars' BUT the site it's for: Diva - is all about creating beautiful matched avatars!

This thread is looking for artists for this site (so if you're interested please ping ) but we would also love if you would join Diva as a member! If you have any questions about Diva itself go to the official thread: here!

You're not likely to get many takers for this. $2 for each set of THREE? Only it's not even in usable currency. I personally work at ร‚ยฃ15 ($24) per hour, because you're looking for skilled labour. No one should be asked to work below min-wage. Please stop devaluing artists, then you might get someone willing to work for you who knows their business.

Hey there, I'll be forwarding your message to my friend who's in charge of the payment.

I'm doing those myself for $2 per set for that site. It take me about 15 minutes to do the all of them, since I only have to colour the first set and the alter the colours or remove somethings for the other two. But of course, everyone works differently, and that could be just me.

Then you're doing yourself and everyone else a disservice LINK can explain it far better than I. But if you want a regular artist able to put out a constant high standard of work, you're barking up the wrong tree with those prices. Even a recolour should be at least ร‚ยฃ5.

Hey there! These edits are off of premade made bases that are used in every situation. The artists we're looking for are not meant to create images from scratch but rather just add minor details to an already existing trophy which then is simply recolored or have singular details edited out to create the other two.

Your work is lovely and you're obviously very skilled, but we are not looking for huge base edits or indepth artwork. Our site is free for everyone (including the admins and mods that offer their services) & only our artists are the ones who get csc for working at the site!

Thank you for your concern, but we really do value our artists and we try and provide them with as much income as we can for this small but important feature!

We are not looking to hire an artist to work for us as a full-time job. We're looking for someone who can spend maybe 15-30 minutes working on a small base edit every couple of days. This "job" is not meant to provide a full income, mainly why we pay in csc not real money. We're really just looking for volunteers who could offer their time to help out our fansite! Again thank you for being concerned about the well being of artists!

Hm I think it's best that I put my simpler examples up so I don't scare people away.

Even so, I'd have to back what said. Even for simple CI commissions for CSC, I ask for 600 CSC at a minimum, though the more complex the CI is, the more I will ask for. Base edits or not, it can still take quite a bit of time. What might take you 15 minutes may take another person half an hour.

I worked for a site and they paid a minimum of 8 USD per item, no matter how much time it took. They didn't ask for anything complex either.

Maybe think about upping the amount you'll pay, ESPECIALLY if it's in CSC considering how easy it is for some people to make CSC without spending any actual money (selling CWs, making sP to buy CSC, pawn shop, etc).

It only takes 5 seconds to pawn off a CW for 250 CSC.

This isn't meant to be rude, but realistic; 200 CSC is seriously not enough for someone else's time.

We understand that people will not want to work a full time job for 200 csc per set, but as mentioned before the entire site is volunteer only & we are not looking to hire artists a full time position/commission (we would love to but, again this is a completely free fansite!). This is not meant to justify as a full time position and we are not looking for anything complex or time consuming. Artists are also not truly time constricted and are able to do edits whenever they have the time, hence them being volunteers.

We really do appreciate your concerns on this matter & while we would love if we could afford to pay everyone that works on this fansite, it produces no income. Plus as mentioned above, everyone else who works on this site (mods/admins/staff) do it all on their own free time and as volunteers! Artists are the only group who we are trying to pay for their services!

600 for a CI is more than fair. Especially with arts like yours. I charge up to even 2k + copy for something that's really complicated, since it has to match up with a style and can be denied if it didn't.

But difference on this is, we aren't looking for any "full/serious" commissions, plus we have little to none requirements on artistic level. More of a volunteer artist like Amy said. It's something to do for fun and get some extra CSC.

[edit] I am just going to add that we are looking for volunteer artists in OP. I am sorry if it caused any misunderstanding that Diva is undervaluing artists for their work.

I'm talking to and her bf is interested. He's gonna PM you, I think. รขโ„ขยฅ

To address everything else: Like said, it's a free site. All of the staff work for free, and we're not asking you to follow any sort of criteria or special rules or add any crazy details; they're just base edits and for the most part, it's the same edit per trophy. No one is undervaluing artists here. We certainly aren't expecting anyone to come in here and work for nothing in regards to art, but we're offering what we can. For some artists, that's enough, and we treat our artists with the utmost respect and importance. We're not asking you to draw custom wearables or anything from scratch. The bottom line is that if you don't like the payments, then don't join. 200 is low, yes, but we're brand new and a completely free to use site. We're surviving on donations alone, and if we could pay you more, we would. We're not saying "this is all we think you're worth". The intentions here were highly misinterpreted.

There's no misinterpretation here. It doesn't matter what you mean it's how it comes across. You can't afford to pay a commissioner a decent amount of their work, whether you intend to or not you're telling artists who are already being told they're not worth much that they're worth what you're offering. If you want volunteers ask for volunteers and tell them if you can you'll give them some csc in bonus every week, but don't imply that that's all they're worth. A+ work for also implying that you're looking for someone who can't give you good quality... All artists love to hear that "hi, we're going to commission you because you're bad enough to accept anything." There can be a huge difference in how you present yourself, 'we're looking for volunteers who can work when they can' (good luck with that btw, you're gonna be taken for a ride unless you're lucky with who you get) would have appealed to me even on a limited time basis, a set of trophies would look nice in my portfolio, but under the guise of being hired, for money, to do work, only to be effectively told 'this is what we think you're worth' has made me ignore this thread since it first showed up out of disgust, because it doesn't matter what you meant, no one can read your mind. Being up front that you're looking for volunteers to help out of the good of their own hearts, is far less insulting and damaging then trying to make it look like a real job.

Nothing I've said by any means suggests that I am "implying that [we're] looking for someone who can't give [us] good quality". Nothing that either Ana or Amy have said suggests that either. Every artist that I've ever worked with knows how much I value their work. Every artist that already works for Diva knows that we value them. You pick how much you work, you do simple base edits, you get 200 csc per theme. That's what we're offering. No one has to take it if they don't want to.
