Hi,

I hope this is not already a topic somewhere else and I missed. If so I apologize in advance. (Is the search function back yet and no one has told me?) Pretty much as the title says. I can't move items from my unsorted wishlist category to any other categories. Considering that it takes about 5 minutes to fully load my unsorted wishlist I thought it would be a good idea to move some stuff to new categories to hopefully make it quicker to load but after clicking and selecting new categories for quiet a few items I thought I'd see if they actually move over... good thing I did because none of the items moved. I am using the most up to date firefox version (38.0.5).

It sometimes takes a few minutes for them to be removed from the category they were in, but they should show up in the new categories right away if you go check them. Is that the case with you, or are they not showing up in the new categories?

No, I checked the category before I posted and I just checked again just to be sure. The items are not showing up in the new category I was trying to move them to.

Another troubleshooting-style question: did you let the page fully load after clicking "Edit Wishlist"?

Yes, I thought that might be important so I made sure to let it fully load. Clicked the button and then left it as it was and went away from the PC for a few minutes to do something else because I knew it would take ages to load.

Hm... I'm not sure what's causing the problem, then. A possible workaround until a staff member figures this out is to take an unsorted item, remove it from your wishlist, and then go into a category and manually add it to that category using the "Add New Item" thing at the top. The reason for removing it from your wishlist first is because otherwise it will show up in both the new category and the unsorted category. It'll take a few minutes for the category to actually show the newly-added items, and it'll be a slow process of copypasting item names, but at least you can chip away at and make the load time shorter for the unsorted category.

Thank you for taking the time to try and help. And thank you for making that suggestion but I think that's just too much work for me personally xD. I already find the normal way too tedious to move items, that's why my unsorted category has grown to the size it is now, so I don't think this is important enough for me to try and enter each item individual right now.

Again thank you for your help though. :D

Two things you may want to try. First, try moving to one category at a time. Like just move some stuff to Serpula's TC wishlist. That seems to work for some people. Second, if that doesn't work, move a chunk at a time...like a couple of rows. Start from the top. If that doesn't work start from the bottom. I know this is frustrating but one of these workarounds should work until it is fixed!

I've got a trick that doesn't really work if you move items again right after moving stuff.

I've got the same problem, and when I have a lot of items, I randomly pick an item I need to move - just one item - and submit. Obviously it doesn't move to the category I chose. But after doing that, it seems to make it work, because when I move all the items I need to move, they move.

Have tried all of these and it still won't let me move things. My unsorted category is getting so large it's making the computer hang.

Huzzah!
