okay so I want to try to make cws but I fail at lineart and coloring subeta-style so idk what to do with this
i have looked at tutorials and i just can't get the same result so idk how to fix it :((
I think it's looking pretty cool so far! I would suggest having the bangs start further down on the left (HA's right-hand side). Right now it looks a little lopsided.
Ooh, yes! I like the first one of those two better (it retains a bit of the choppy look to the bangs and it's a smoother transition to the HA's left ear). But I also like how the second image has highlights on the swoopy bits of hair behind the ear -- it makes it more defined rather than looking like a dark blob.
Have you tested the length of the bangs to make sure it'll go well with plenty of eye options? It seems like it'd be fine for that to me, but it's hard for me to judge just by seeing the wig itself.
I preferred your previous shading a bit but I think both need to be improved to get past subeta standards. The curls look very large in the updo making it look a little odd. maybeee
I really like the bun part!
I'd suggest defining the shape of the hair a little more - it doesnt need to be black inlines, but you should form larger strands of hair to define the overall shape, how to bends and curls so that it doesn't look like a bigger mass of 'hair'!
(I don't have my tablet at the moment, but if you'd like I could draw a quick example on top if you'd like!)
You do have the light source correct, but it is a taaad too dark - it might get denied for 'burn shading' (which is what the staff refers to for the burn brush in photoshop!). You can simply lighen the darkest areas a bit and then add a few lighter highlights on the top left n_n
I'm honestly terrible at explaining when I'm not asked specific questions, so if there is anything in particular you'd like to ask, just let me know! x3
Edit: had a great point about the eyes! When you're drawing the wig, try having a few pair of eyes (decreased in opacity so it isn't too distracting) to make sure the bangs aren't too high - or too low - in the face!
