What do you think if we could all participate in a project to tag all the wears (like we did for the minions if you remember) and then to be able to search a wearable by the tag?
For example, we have many animals wearables but sometimes the animal species is not in the wearable name. If I search for "dog" the result is excluding many wears like So if I don't remember the full name or part of it, I need to search all around the wardrobe or Subeta or Subetalodge for it. But it would be much easier if I search for "dog" and it'll show ALL the wears of dogs no matter what is the name.
What do you think?
Ugh, yes please! It's such a pain trying to find items like this when the most obvious keywords aren't in the name. Same for colours.
I'd like to see this happen, but would appreciate some good solid guidelines on how to tag, unlike the vague stuff we got for the minions.

Yes, please. I think this is something that would be so much more useful than the drawers in the wardrobe, because I have so many items I can hardly be bothered to go through all of them and categorize them in a useful way, and I can't imagine I'm the only one. Maybe include suggested tags (like, shirt, eyes, wig, animal, etc), or display popular tags for that item for users to up or down vote, and allow users to enter tags (maybe a set number, at most 5 or something, so people don't go overboard).
Probably, some incentives would need to be included (an achievement, small amounts of sp) to get participation.

I'm always so shocked this isn't a thing when I go into the wardrobe. But UGH. Yes, please. ❤️
We did. I can't remember what kind of items they were, though. There's achievements related to them. The achievement was called "Item Tag Helper".
If we all tagged the clothes, in a perfect world, it would be extremely helpful. But if there are rewards involved (like achievements) I'm pretty sure people would just tag random stuff to make it go quickly as possible to get to their reward. Even if there's no reward I'm not sure if the userbase could handle properly and completely tagging every single clothes item on site. That's a huge undertaking. I know that I would be overwhelmed.
no, there was tagging for items as well. It was awhile before the minion tagging. I specifically remember tagging stuff like pink, Morostide, wearable, etc.
you are right! sorry. it was this: http://subeta.net/news/13394
but nothing happened since then, and it was a general tagging for many types of items.
Wait. It's been over two years since that item tagging happened? Is it even being put to use for anything?
Yes 2 years ago and we've worked pretty well on this but we kinda wasted our time.. no use for it at all..
So now I hope that my suggestion will be taken seriously and we will tag all the wears and only wears.. because it simply impossible to find something in the wardrobe right now.
I think the minion tagging was preparation for the minion zoo/battling.
I love the idea of tags for the wardrobe, and I think it was part of the initial plan for the revamp. I don't know if it's still planned or not.

UGH YESSS. The face and head layer always makes me rage. For face I would love to be able to tag eyes, lips, full face, brows, etc. For head I would love to tag hair, bows, headbands, weird animal heads, etc.
Even if every item just got one basic tag each I would be so pumped. Like Dress, Skirt, Shirt, etc.
It would also be cool if we could add our own tags. So kinda like the drawers, but not so broken.
I thought had intended to do this instead of Drawers and Share Outfits, and intended to also make it possibly player defined. He found out he couldn't do either one even in the Beta.
In any case, there's already a Brainstorming topic on Wardrobe! still active. Add your two cents in there.
Yeah I'm pretty sure this is the case unfortunately. I know he wanted to implement a tagging system with the new wardrobe and abolish drawers - but it wasn't possible so the idea was nixed.
