it's been awhile since i've actively participated in the quests (and the site in general) and i was wondering what the process for the quest rewards is? like, how is sP determined? is it randomized, or does it take into account how much you've spent getting the items requested? and what's the rule of thumb for actually spending sP on a quest? you'd think after 8 years on this site, i'd know this stuff by now lol. thanks!

Depends on the quest. I'll give you my personal rules and caveat that I'm a generous quester. I'm more interested in completing the quests and getting the items than making sp, but I still make a lot running by these rules.

Quentin: I try not to spend above 20k. Really, don't spend above 10-15k if you're looking for direct profits, you lose out on sp with 20k most of the time. On the other hand, he gives out mage amulets sometimes, which can make up for poor sp.

Library: I spend up to 50-60k and pretty much ALWAYS lose on the sp. But Alexander gives out AWESOME rares rather frequently and as a hoarder, the loss of sp is worth it for the good items. That's me, though, and sometimes the items are rare but not actually worth much. If you're doing it for pure sp, probably do it by rarity or only give him what you can buy directly out of the shops.

Wizard Quest: Unless he's asking for new items, I rarely hit a quest that isn't worth doing. Most of the items he asks for are cheap and he's reasonably generous with the reward in turn, plus there's always tokens in it.

Maleria: I max out at about 50k and lose surprisingly little money. It happens, but the evil goddess is actually pretty generous with money. I don't have as good of a feel on her quests versus rewards, though, so take my advice here with a grain of salt.

Cinthia: Max of roughly around 10k. Her sp isn't great, but she tends to ask for a lot of cheap items, so I make a steady profit most days.

Cursed Quests: ???? I don't actually have a good feel for the girls. Sometimes I spend a lot and get nothing. Sometimes I don't spend hardly anything and get excellent sp. I try not to go over around 20-30k with their quests.

Pete: I max out at 30k and generally make pretty good money doing his quests.

Sarah: I have no idea, it has been years since I did a quest for her.

Saggitarius: Two items, I try not to go above 50k. Four items, I try not to go much above 100k. Sometimes I break those rules and am rewarded for my bravery. Other times, I follow those rules and he burns me. That's Saggi for you. I think he still gives out sp based on rarity?

Carl: I max out around 30k items and generally make money every time.
