Now that the vultures are taken care of; I'd just like to clarify that I'm not going to ice my account or anything, (I've invested too much into this account both financially and physically to do that,) so I guess this is more of a "going on hiatus" sort of announcement but considering I haven't really been active since the Masquerade and was practically non-existent during Vesnali--sorry about that friends--plus all the weeks I've spent inactive in between holidays... Yeah, I think it's time to pull the plug on ever coming back here. (For a long while, anyway.)

As for why I'm quitting and not simply "going on hiatus," well, aside from the lack of being able and wanting to be here, saying I'm "going on hiatus" doesn't feel strong enough for what I'm feeling right now. I don't want to get rid of my things on the chance I may return, but I don't necessarily want to come back either. It's complicated.

I do plan to come back for Morostide, however, but not to reconnect as much as to retry subeta after being gone a while and what better time than during my favorite holiday? If I can't get back into the groove, however, I might just disappear entirely after that. We'll see.

There's also the lingering issue I have with how money grubbing the site's become. In order to be anyone, get anywhere and have the nicest shit; you need to be an artist, make cw's and/or be one of subeta's many whales and I really can't afford to do any of that. Oh sure, I can grind with quests and restock for some "easy" SP and maybe make enough to buy one CW per week, but not only is that a lot harder without a Gold Account, I just don't have the energy to maintain such a commitment right now. I've been on the internet for almost twenty years now, folks. It's time I got up and went outside for a while.

Wish I could say it's been fun too but in a lot of ways, it hasn't. I can't get into why but I'm sure there are some people out there who will throw a party after hearing that I'm gone. Still, it hasn't been all horrible. I've met a lot of generous people, had several amazing moments, adopted some awesome pets and made even more awesome friends. Speakin' of...

I know I haven't exactly been in contact with you guys in the passed year or so and I'm so sorry for that. You guys are all awesome but Subeta being the only way for us to communicate hasn't been helping matters any. So, if you care to reconnect at all, feel free to add me on skype, aim or even yahoo messenger if you still use that. Just shoot me a PM with what messengers you use and I'll send you my contact information though I'm mostly active on skype though so that'll be the best way to contact me.

I'd also like to make a shoutout to the ping group to thank them for all their help over the years with quests, puzzles, the occasional outfit and just for being there when I needed them. Laurs is literally the best ping group on all of subeta. Anyone not in that group is doing a disservice to themselves. Keep being awesome guys! I'm gonna miss you!

As for the rest of Subeta, I bid you adieu in the most classiest way possible,

I completely understand the need to walk away for a while and see if you can say goodbye for good or comeback and enjoy the good. Either way, take your time and enjoy yourself. When something like this ends up being more of a drag than an enjoyable pastime it's always a good idea to take a breather. I hope you really find something you enjoy doing outside of Subeta that brings you excitement and pleasure!

Have some fun in RL! All those people out there shudder. Maybe it's because I've been around internetting since AOL first started to compete with compuserve at only $3.50/hr though so maybe it's not too late for you.

Sorry to see you go. Anyways, see you next Morostide maybe it'll be fun just to do some costume paper doll stuff and trick or treating just for the lulz.

I'm a whale with a monstrously large shop, and I have maybe 15 CWs all told so at once a week you've been living high by my standards. If it's not working for you though it's not working for you. To me, the site's been about the sP forever since there didn't used to be the games as a source of sP and quests were much chancier=a lot of what we did was sell to each other and trade stuff. So what particularly eats at you about how the economy is working now?

.. why is it necessary to buy CW and have the more unusual stuff? I find a lot of the common things just as nice and in fact look a lot like the CW. You don't have to be "anyone" here, you also don't have to "grind"...just enjoy.

sorry that you're leaving.I understand what you are saying and I agree.I'm trying to stay around and enjoy the site myself,but its hard at times because things seem to get screwed up or get fixed that aren't even broken.And sometimes I'm just getting the feeling the staff aren't being entirely honest with us, or just not really listening.

- I don't really know you but have seen your posts...just commenting to wish you the best. I did like your post...all well stated. I understand lots of it too about the 'elite' and whatnot. It would take way too much money to get to certain levels where I will never be...but I do love the lair and all you said about it...so true. If not for the lair I would not have made it through even the first year. The group of fabulous bears in the lair are priceless and make it all worthwhile. I am sorry to see you go, but I have also felt the same way as you. I have "quit" a few times, when I just didn't "feel" the site anymore. I get frustrated with the changes and the way they try to sucker you into spending more money. I totally understand where you are coming from. Taking a breather is a good idea.

And I am also glad that you are keeping your account and NOT giving away your hard earned items. When you invest RL money its hard to just walk away. Don't forget though, log in at least once every few months to keep your account active (just a little reminder).

I hope you find happiness and fulfillment in the real world. There is a big exciting world out there. I wish I had the resources to get out more. Sorry to see you go but I understand what you are saying. I'm mostly in and out of Subeta myself and don't spend as much time (or money) on here as I use to. The CW's kind of changed Subeta for me. I wish you a ton of luck in whatever you do.

Have been on this site over 9 years and am familiar with your name - I'm sorry to see you go but can understand perfectly why you wish to do so.
