I notice I haven't been receiving pings for the past couple of weeks or so. When going back to the board to check, my name is printed in normal type lettering Me-Guru and not in bold Me-Guru like others. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.

-Guru It's because your name has a dash in it I think. Users with dashes, dots and underscores no longer get pinged, thanks to the latest changes to pinging a while back.

~ Just checking back on my post. I don't think that's the case, I see other users with an underscore in their names, and their pings seem to be fine. It seems to be only my name that I notice the changing in letters. Thank you for your response ~ ^.^ ~

Now, it only works if people use the underscore _ instead of the dash -. I am still going to see if that can be fixed but maybe put a note in your signature for now that people should use Me_Guru to ping you?

~ I don't think so. Other users as well as LuckBurnside does have the correct hyphen in it. I'm wondering if by manually spelling it is what's causing the problem, rather than using the ping button?

What I am saying is that if I type out Me-guru with the @ symbol, then you get LuckBurnside's ping that doesn't work. But if you type out Me_Guru with the @ symbol, the ping will go through and the end result is that the post shows up with the correct hyphen.
You can even try it on yourself! Ping yourself to this board by typing Me_Guru with the @ symbol.

Testing -Guru. That is so weird... EDIT: I did type in my name with the underscore above, but it didn't work. Meaning the underscore changed to a hyphen, but I didn't receive the ping ~[br clear=all]
When I try and edit your post, it shows that you typed in the hyphen
