I don't know if this is possible at all, but I think it would be nice if we could have items that are in our galleries be used in our wardrobe without having to submit them to our wardrobe. I was looking through my container gallery and noted how many eye and hair wardrobe items I have. Some of them I'd really like to wear, but the entire point of collecting them, for me, was to have them in my gallery. They're fairly expensive items too, so I wouldn't want to purchase doubles. But if there was a way for your wardrobe to note anything your account owned in it's galleries, that would solve that. I mean, I own the items and it's not like the wardrobe is like the plushie/etc collections where once you add the item to them you can't get them back out.

That would ruin the point of having a wardrobe in the first place.

No.

No thanks. You want to put them on your HA, take them out of your gallery and put them back in when you're done.

That defeats the whole purpose of collecting the item in a gallery, for me. I'm not trying to sound lazy or anything, I just feel like if I own the item I should be allowed to wear it, whether it's in my wardrobe, gallery or pet treasure or wherever. Maybe it's just me, but I don't go into the wardrobe knowing what I want to wear. I just play around until I like something. So moving all those items back and forth all the time would be really aggravating.

I guess I'll just leave them in my gallery since that's more important to me.

I think(?) what meant was like, if you could just wear everything regardless of where it's located in your account-- there really isn't a point to having a wardrobe.

Which is a valid enough point, because first it's galleries then treasure chests and I know I've seen the armory mentioned at least once-- and then, there really wouldn't be a point any more.

But the wardrobe would just access what your account owned. So you'd still have a wardrobe, you just wouldn't have to physically place the item there.

If I want to display a piece of jewelry in a display case, it gets physically put in the display case. If I decide that I want to wear it, I have to remove it from the display case to do so.

The way you want it, we wouldn't have a wardrobe, we would have a dressing room. While 'wardrobe' is commonly used just to mean a person's collection of clothes, it's also a piece of furniture that holds the clothes.

I personally don't like the idea. If I want to show something off, it can either be on my person, or in a display case; it can't be in both at the same time unless I have more than one of it. I think that should apply for TCs, galleries, armories, and vaults.

this kind of seems like it would take away some of the challenge aspect of the game. right now you face the choice, do you want to keep the item in your gallery, or do you want it for your wardrobe? if you don't want to make that decision, you buy a second (or third, etc) copy of that item, and the price you pay is the price of convenience of not having to forfeit one function for the other.

if a single copy would basically "unlock" access between wardrobe, armory, TCs, galleries, etc (because if you're going to do it one way, you've got to do it all ways), then why would anyone ever buy more than a single copy of any given item? that's bad news for the site economy.

i guess i can't really throw my support behind a function that would give us less to do on the site.

I do wish that you could wear items locating in your armory.

have it show up under a "shared"-like category. so you cant wear it but it doesnt count towards wardrobe achievements, etc.

coz im not gonna buy two natashas just so i can wear one occasionally.

I could get behind it if we were talking wearables put into permanent collections (like beanbags), but I don't think anything you can't shuffle around is wearable?

But I also don't understand the point of galleries, so.

What about items that you don't necessarily "control", though?

Like, wearable books. I adopted a pet years ago that had read TONS AND TONS AND TONS of books (okay, 63, but I didn't really do books with my pets).

So, say they had read from a previous owner - do I suddenly get a nearly 900k book in my "wardrobe" when I adopt the pet, because it's then technically a part of my account?

While it would be extremely convenient to have a "Owned Items" filter, I don't really think you should be able to wear/use the item in two different places. There are plenty of pricey items in my pets' TCs that I didn't want to buy doubles of, so I had to make the decision to take them out of my wardrobe. Likewise, there are plenty of gallery owners who have to make the decision to keep items out "for show" in a gallery rather than just keeping them in their wardrobe for convenient use.

If this was a thing, there would be virtually no reason to put things in the wardrobe anymore. I could take the thousands of items in my wardrobe and dump them into my gallery to more easily get the 'Super Shop' achievement.

Conclusion: no support.
