Hey, where's a board about Game of Thrones?! Whelp I guess I'll bring one to life.
What can I say...well first off I'm not a book reader. mmm, I'm finally glad there's something to watch as two of my other fav shows have disappointed me this year. The first episode was...kind of slow paced? I hope that wheel gets turning and characters finally meet up.
Yes the first 4 episodes got leaked. hush hush.
I was underwhelmed. All I knew what there was a death, and I was just like, eh, when it happened. I haven't watched the leaked episodes, but I certainly hope the show picks up the pace.
It's been confirmed that the show is going to spoil the books.
I'm excited for the new characters and to see what's going on in Dorne.

(VAGUE SPOILER ALERT BELOW)
Yeah, I got about half way through episode 3 and there's things going on with a character (won't say the name yet) that I don't think is in the books, or they are combining two character's story lines? Either way, I am very very concerned when anybody gets involved with those Boltons. I haven't watched any further because I don't want to watch it all yet, and because yeah I'm scared.
I think the combining of two characters has been done on the show before (Gendry) so I would assume they'd continue to do it when they saw fit. It's sad to see the flayed man sigil at Winterfell in the opening credits now.
I just finished the second episode and it was a lot more satisfying than the first one. Premieres are usually just setting things up anyway.

I'm a book reader, myself so seeing all these changes is definitely something I didn't expect but I am open minded. I am curious what they are going to do with certain character arcs as they got rid of a few I didn't expect.
There's one major change I am rather curious about having to do with Sansa in the later episodes that were leaked (haven't watched them myself but word travels quickly)
Yeah, I'd heard about some of that, interesting to see where they take it.
Is season 5 more or less 'Dance with Dragons' territory now? The book didn't really grab me but I'm hoping the show will make things more exciting.
I'm resisting the urge to bingewatch the leaked stuff and stay at the same pace as TV or it'll be too long to wait in between D:
I completely agree. It's hard to not actually watch the leaked episodes.
As far as I can tell they're really veering away from the books to the point I have no idea what is going to happen next with some characters. They got rid(or killed) of some characters and are making others meet up sooner which in some ways is great but I can understand why the book readers would get frustrated. It gets me nervous for later episodes really.
I've been waiting since Season/Book 1 for the dragons to fight the zombies and it still hasn't happened.
I'm just going to leave this here:

I was really upset about the Sansa thing, but then Hardhome happened last week and it was at least the most amazing cinema(you know what I mean) moment I have seen in some time. Kinda made up for a slow lousy season. Almost almost. idk...
Yeah. This seasons been slow as shit. Thank god the last two episodes happened.
Also, fuck Stannis. I hope Davos betray's him and stabs him through his cold, fucking heart.
- I saw a lot of arguing online going on about Stannis. Some are saying his character in the books would have never done that. His daughter being burned at the stake will be in the books, Martin confirmed that, but I'm not sure the details would be exactly what happened in the show.
All I can see now is a man who has gone mad who is power hungry "fulfilling his destiny".
That Red Witch lady better be next with Ramsay. Teleport Jon Snow away, and let the walkers come. peesh.
I've gotta say so far I've been disappointed with this season. Like, I watched the first few eps when they were leaked, but couldn't make it more than half way through the 4th ep. But then the Sansa thing happened which was off-putting from what I've heard. And now with Shireen which is heartbreaking cause I honestly loved her.
idk I've kept up with it sorta since I'm taking a spring course on the Medievalism in Game of Thrones, but I may pick it up again just for the Jon & Dany parts.
Other than that, not that impressed at all this year...
Stannis shouldn't trust the red witch. Afterall, Balon Greyjoy is still alive so clearly the blood of kings sacrifice doesn't always work...at least not on the series.
Serious Telenine Collector at work!
Know yourself and know your enemy and in a hundred battles you will never be in danger.//////////////////
If I want your opinion I'll read it in your entrails
I can't stand that Red Witch. LOL I prefer Cersei over the witch, lol. This season was soooo slow if you ask me, though it had some cool moments. Some of the characters had it coming: Cersei, Aria and even Stannis [to a point] - after all, greed will come bite you in the ass, lol
I didn't read the books, but who knows i might..
Even though I heard many negative opinions about season 5 I HATE that I won't be able to watch it before January 2016 when I (hopefully) receive my Blue-ray box. It's only on pay-tv here and that won't change until spring 2016. Way to ruin my fan-life, lol
season 5 is a little slow. since tywin lannister died, the house of lannister is no longer cool. there goes my favourite character.
but the white walker is making appearance, which is very cool.
