Hi all, my name is Laura and I'm obviously new to Subeta. It's really different from another place I play on... but also alike. Anyway I'm confused as to how to get started on here. Are there avatars(the actual square icon ones) to earn? How do I get myself a siggie and a lookup? As well as a lookup for my pet. And what about getting sP? Getting my pet(s) trained up/learned so they can get a job?

This is all so confusing. ;-;

There aren't avatars here. You could consider the achievements similar to the collecting aspect on sites like Neopets, though.

There's a few free lookups on SubetaLodge, and there are probably some people who make free ones on here. I've never really looked into it, but it seems like most people charge you to make a lookup.

sP can be earned through quests, games, and dailies. This forum is a good guide. You can also sell items you get from quests, restocking, etc. in your shop (under the commerce tab).

I don't know anything about training and all that, however. I'm not into training, but someone else will know.

Jim will train your pets there. There are also a varsity of stat boosters throughout the site. Shinwa's Quests will often give you stat boosters as a reward. The folks in the Battle forums are also real helpful with any questions you might have about weapons and battling. Have fun and enjoy!

What about various pet colors? I'm really wanting more colored pets. Particularly a Galactic Swampie, Glade Legeica, Nightmare Endeavor, Reborn Rreign, and Storm Cadogre. How do you get these particular colors?

- Potions: These change your pet to another color while retaining it`s current species type. For example, if you use a Storm Potion on your Cadogre it will become a Storm Cadogre. Watch for random events from Tempest, you can get Storm potions from her.

Miracle Potion: changes your pet to any color available for its species (except Hydrus & Angelic).

Miracle Potion II: changes your pet's species without changing its current color. This also includes Experiment pets.

Pet Zapper: You can take your pet to the Ultimate Pet Zapper (located in the Darkside) and have it randomly zapped into other colors, however, be aware that the pet zapper can also change your pet into another species, change its gender, raise stats or do nothing at all... so use it at your own risk! NOTE: You can NOT obtain Angelic, Hydrus, Galactic, Nostalgic Steamwork and Sweetheart via the zapper

Galactic: On the 6th and 7th day of every month you can have your pet blessed and turned Galactic. To do this, go to Coda Caves on Atebus and visit Itallo. He will show you a list of your pets that can be blessed and made Galactic. Click on the pet you want to make Galactic and he will then send you on a quest for specific colored Gems. Then you can go back to the Coda Caves and dig for the gems (you can dig for one gem every hour), or you can buy the gems from other user's shops, they are usually pretty inexpensive. Once you have collected all the gems Itallo asked for, go back to Coda Caves and click on the `Bless your Pet' link, then give Itallo the gems and he will turn the pet you previously selected to Galactic.

Glade: You use a Glade Potion, which can be created by filling a Ornate Floral Pitcher with water from Peka Glade. The Ornate Floral Pitcher can sometimes be purchased in the Token shop or Seedlings. The pitcher and potion may also be found for sale in the Trading Center and user shops.

Holy moly, potions are expensive. Time to start saving.

The Miracle Potion does propose the Angelic colour just so you know. I did get my Angel Feli with a Miracle Potion when it used to be way cheaper than the Angelic Potion itself. I don't know about Hydrus but I do believe it is proposed too. :)

Welcome to Subeta! :-) You just managed to pick more expensive pet colours (I tend to do that, too... ^^"), the plain recolours (like Cream, Sun, Lilac, ...) tend to be less expensive.

But there is still hope! ;-) Try out the Adoption Center (located here: http://subeta.net/explore/adopt.php) or the Adoption Section of the Pet Forums.

The Adoption Center has a search option (by colour, species or name) and you might find a lovely new pet there (I got three of my four pets that way - recently, there are usually some Glade pets, too, and an handful of Galactic, too). If you want a Galactic pet, I might be able to lend a hand. I have saved up a couple of Coda Cave Crystals but don't really need them, so comment me if you'd like some.

The Adoption Section of the Forums is also a great chance to get pets (especially pets which will never end up in the Adoption Center like Angelic or Hydrus pets). Users put their pets up for adoption when they want them to find good homes (and don't feel comfortable just abandoning them - which would mean the pets end up in the Adoption Center). The user putting their pet up for adoption might request an application to be sure that their pet gets a lovely new home. They usually state their conditions, but if there is something you're not sure about, I don't think they'll bite your head off if you ask. ;-)

New colours (completely new or just new for certain species) or new species are also introduced every once in a while, which will show up as "News" (very first site shown after you log in).
